I realised a long time ago the reason I am comfortable with change because I dislike routine...then comes the problem, being able to stick to things for the long run.

My longest relationship was 6 years and only because he was barely around.....my longest job is my current one and its because I can create my own schedule. My current apartment and its because the economy does not allow me to get another cheap apartment as quickly as I used to. oh yes I am a 5

Are you routine challenged or know someone who is?

I'm routine challenged so I work with things in principle instead of literal. All of those "supposed to" things in life are just road maps for the unimaginative.

Oh yeah, things or situations that are repetitive literally give me nightmares, can't do it, it's hard to explain but it feels like it's almost physically painful, my brain just isn't wired that way but new things, new challenges, new anything has my immediate interest, definitely a pioneer type.

oh, i do have to say, that resonates with me. there are some musical forms that i can enjoy for a short period of time but begin to drive me mad after while. . .like reggae and blues. . .i guess the excitement threshold thing has bitten me.

too much coltrane and chopin, i suppose. .

I'm into change. But I do get sucked into routine sometimes.

Routine can become an addiction. Routine can take tons of energy. Yet sometimes we crave routine ... for security, maybe?

There's an old quote from somewhere - the less routine, the more life.

I'm only in a routine now because of finances. If those didn't have a grip on me, I'd be living elsewhere...possibly overseas...and leading a gypsy's life. (My dog also stops this tendency some...) I gravitate towards change naturally...but the one benefit from having to stay put due to finances is I seem to be accomplishing something now...or laying down foundations for the future. In something like writing, a portfolio goes with you...

You really don't want me to post a detailed response, but I'll say yes. In my relationship, Ms. Free Spirit met Mr. OCD. It's a struggle.
