ok let's say you were frozen in time with one moment that felt so good, if you only had that, you'd be happy. what would it be? holding your baby? kissing your lover? swimming in a tropical sea? dancing under the stars?
for me it might just be what i did today-- lying on a mattress outside in the breeze, sun dappling down through leaves, and tiger snuggled up against me, smelling spring flowers, hearing the birdies sing, and drifting in and out of sleep.

Re: Favorite Moment
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 7:19 PMBirth of my first daughter - most joyous moment of my life. Not that I love my second daughter any less, but her birth was full of complication. The best time of my life was when they were in the first five years of their life. I saw the world anew through their eyes. Life had calloused me emotionally, and they opened my heart back up again.

Re: Favorite Moment
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 9:53 AMI think it would have to be a moment when I was driving through the Gila Wilderness in New Mexico. It was a beautiful sunny day and I had just left my campsite and was driving through trees. The road opened up and I could see a beautiful valley. At that same moment, the clouds parted and a beautiful golden rays of sunshine poured forth. I heard the voice of the Goddess in my heart and I was at one with everything. It was the most amazing moment. Tears fell down my face and I was wrapped with overwhelming love from within and without. I never wanted that to end.
Secondly, would be the time I finally made it to Machu Picchu. I had backpacked five days and that morning had to climb over 2,000 steps to get to the entrance. This was a moment I had waited for for so long and it finally happened. I would recommend that everyone go there!

Re: Favorite Moment
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 12:08 PMEllie..........that sounds like a very blissful, serene moment.........one that doesn't need anything other than being in the moment!
*lying with limbs wrapped around my lover - just melting into the moment
*lying in a hammock at my friends beach house after having clams & beer - staring up at the sky and seeing the most awesome images in the clouds without either trying to see anything
*walking through the woods on a spring day - feeling the breeze through the trees - hearing birdsong and seeing butterflies pass so close to me their wings almost brushed my face
just mentioned the first things that came to mind.....still......there are so so many moments that were frozen in time for what seemed like an eternity but may have been only a few moments ........being at peace with myself and the world around me........feeling a deep connection to it
hope to experience many of these moments in the future.........hope you do too :-)
