: )
hey ya'll my name is Breezy. I am 18, a raw foodiee, and in college right now. After questioning if I wanted to attend college I decided to go with my parent's push and my thoughts on this being the only way to survive. After a couple months I have realized this is not for me. In December I am going to leave at the end of the semester, take some time off to go travel, and just follow my path, naturally. I am still a little weary of not going to 'college'. I know this is just fear implanted in my mind from years of living in the system. I am interested in studying yoga, having land, and forming sustainable communities. I was wondering if any of you knew of any yoga training centers (work exchange), sustainable raw food communities, etc. I know this post is all over the place, i'm sorry. hehe thank you and blessings

Re: I do not want to be part of American Corruption!!
Wed, October 10, 2007 - 5:23 AMHi Breezy,
welcome!
I don't personally know much in the way of where you could go but, good luck! I'm trying to start something up in Thailand and Australia but it's still very early stages, try there in a couple more years.
Just wanted to put my two cents on your predicament though... Unfortunately I've found that college can often be a waste of time and money, especially if you aren't sure what you want to be doing in Life. Even if college was a absolute necessity, most people would be far better off and make much better students if they go to college as mature age students (25yrs+) as there is a lot more focus, purpose, and depth of understanding after a bit more growing up beforehand. In the meantime there is a world of experience out there, as well as experience of self and of Nature to learn from. College can be extremely narrow and superficial in its scope and portrayal of subjects to learn. Try to learn from people and from books, but also especially from your own creativity and in-tuition. Perhaps you can befriend people along your journey-way who may help you with your yoga, sustainable formations, and other things that may fall in their experience to pass on.
