I'm looking to be living in an intentional community starting this fall. I would like to be on my way not later than Oct 1, and possibly earlier. I am particularly interested in participating in/learning how to build structures to live in, and am most moved by rounded organic structures that seem to flow up from the ground, such as earthships, ecodomes. I have been veg since I was 5 -- only one in my family, have practiced yoga for over a decade, am moving toward veg and raw, studying nutrition a lot these days (independently). I am in the process of writing a book (fiction) and so will be occupied that way wherever I am. I hope to be able to contribute to my community with building (I'm mechanically inclined if not experienced in home building), food preparation (raw, vegan, mono, simple, radiant in color and variety, perhaps some raw goat milk if there are any goats around who are not too put out by sharing, but not nec.), and perhaps also in my capacity as editor -- which work I've done most of my adult life. I am looking to be somewhere warm (Thailand, Costa Rica, etc.). Any suggestions?

Re: Intentional Community Search
Mon, September 10, 2007 - 1:54 AMhi, any luck with your search? Were you looking for something short-term or long-term?
www.punpunthailand.org/
This is a pretty good community in Thailand, have you heard about it? They also do adobe workshops and are mostly veg. Sorry if it's a bit late notice now...
I'm also very interested in rounded organic structures too... have you learnt much on building something so far?
(I've recently started researching/designing a round thatch mudbrick house, as well as a bamboo and thatch "yurt"...if there's anyone with any related experience who could help, please let me know, thanks). -
