i treat sanitation as if I'm going to eat the food. make sure it stays cold right up until you feed it. I'll usually put it in a warm water bath right before feeding, because they don't like it cold and will end up just letting is sit there and go bad. I split it up into portions and put them in plastic baggies. I freeze all of them. I'll pull a baggy out and let it defrost in the fridge. My cats prefer turkey meat over anything else.
