Apparently the governor of Montana is fighting back against Homeland Security, and asking for other states' support in doing the same.

I say, "YAY" to that... 'bout time to end this government tyranny!

Thanks for the link saguaro. Interesting. I have always thought Real ID was a diversion from Verichip. That it would never become policy unless it was a preliminary thing that would fail on purpose so that Verichip can become mandatory / required. I could be wrong. Just a hunch.

That is a very good possibility, for sure. Georgia ( where I live) has started legislation banning the involuntary implantatiion of chips in humans...it has just been introduced, but I think it has a good chance of going through. Other states ( I read this information here) have done, or are doing, the same.

True. I am from Montana. Our governor is fighting it as you say.

Also, Montana's two US Senators, Jon Tester and Max Baucus, defeated an ammendment that was supposed to require REAL ID numbers for everyone as part of an immigration act in 2005. Montana used to be opressed by a Republican adminitstation that sided with big business, but recently Democrats won state offices and they are boldly freeing us from corruption.

Bush could ruin the nation in the 12 months he has left. But I have great hope for a new future for our nation if we are able to elect Barack Obama. It's going to be a close call this last year. Everybody resist government take-over until this administration is gone.

I had read about Montana requesting support from other states.
Unfortunately Texas and its Republican controlled Government backs Real ID 100% and it goes into affect here this year for biometric Driver Licenses which will be the beginning of an Internal Passport System to be able to travel anywhere within the borders of the United States.
