I heard a great lil' tidbit at Brian Buffini a few weeks back: in 1989, there were 17,000 people with Real Estate licenses in San Diego County. By 1994, there were 3,000.

Fri, May 28, 2004 - 7:45 AMwell, today there are over 6,000 agents in San Diego! I think the incompetent ones will start getting weeded out. The higher end properties (over $600K) are starting to stay on the market longer and I am seeing price reduction $10K at a time the longer they stay on the market. Are you a Buffini follower? I am considering his program. I have a few colleagues that are in his program. He is originally from San Diego.
