An introduction...

To be alive right now is a precious joy. We are able to experience joys and experience that my ancestors never could have imagined. From skydiving to flying across the country in hours, our choices are boundless.

In my personal interaction with Joanna Macy (an Inspirational teacher) I have laughed, cried, been fully inspired, and allowed myself to experience complete despair. I have allowed myself to feel the very real reactions that I have experienced my whole life when I have learned about bombs dropping or clear cutting.

Throughout my life, I have played my role as a window cleaner and as a student very well, regardless of the endless battles happening all around me. The news never told me of the multi-national corporations that had taken control of my government and were committing crimes against humanity for the profit of select stakeholders.

I did not realize that this is also a time of crisis. The fate of our planet in regards to whether or not conscious life will continue is in the hands of the same system that has been terrorizing individuals all around the world for their profits. I never stopped to ask where profit comes from, and why people are paid pennies for endless days of labor to make my clothing. I never stopped to ask why the forests are being clear-cut and the lands are being turned into deserts. Dr Tolba does a great job of making things clear: "we face, by the end of the century, an environmental catastrophe as complete, as irreversible as any nuclear holocaust," says Dr Mustafe Tolba, Director General of the United Nations Environment Program.

In my interaction with Joanna Macy and her work, I began to allow myself to feel these responses I have to this devastation that I witness every day. I learned through my experience that I was trying not to feel. Not to look. And that this actually takes up a lot of my energy and time. I learned what happens when I let go of my resistance, and begin to feel what Is real to me.

And in response to letting myself feel these responses, I have sourced my empowerment, I have fueled my drive and inspiration, and I have loosened forever the grip of my separate identity, my disconnected self. In response to these exercises that Joanna Leads, I have clarified what my life really means to me, and what it means to be living this day fully.

In response to my first experience with Joanna’s work I have noticed a permanent shift in my perceptions of the world. I see more vibrancy in the trees, more life in peoples eyes. My senses have all been heightened. But most of all, I am driven. I am committed and passionate about the global vision, about Healing our Mother Earth.

As we integrated our experiences together we realized that we envision a vibrant, life supporting planet for our children and our children’s children to live on. This website is a manifestation of that Vision. In it you will find all of the projects that we are currently either undergoing or envisioning in relation to the healing of our planet.
