RR Primer: A circle after its face burned off
The circle prototype after its face burned off. 1/4" "luon" plywood was used which turned out to be way too thin to allow the circle to be rolled around. The structure was very sturdy and proves that with the right sheeting on the outside, these circles will indeed be able to do what I want.
A center axis will be built on the final using probably a threaded pipe or wood member to "hang" a deep cycle battery from the middle. This will power a high-powered LED spotlight with three knobs allowing the circles to be "tuned" into different colors. The fronts will be painted white and sheeted finally in white paper and wax in the cracks to hide the burn shapes.
I hope to build four or five of these for RR: Mutation. Lumber cost for one is $100 or less.
