Fortunately for us these encouraging words came from Laurie, a Canadian and MP in Ottawa! We can only hope his words can be shared similarly by those who represent Canadians on Capital Hill from all party lines because... The Bad News is...
Our neighbouring family and friends in America is facing another loss of freedom, "speech" by the HR1955 law now sitting in the Senate to be debated and voted on. The intention of HR1955 is to ultimately criminalize those who question 911 (paint 9/11 groups as terrorists) The very DVD I gave Mr Hawn by www.ae911truth.org Blue Print for Truth was listed along other terrorist organizations considered under the HR1955 law as shown in the attached video by Brass TV .

Earlier this month, special Brasscheck TV correspondent Goodman Green posted a short video about HR 1955. In just three days over 100,000 people downloaded and viewed it. Now the bill is in the Senate under a new name S 1959. This bill makes it possible for the government to criminalize free speech, by declaring it a form of "terrorism." Who does this bill target? Congressional hearings show they're painting a bulls eye on the 9/11 Truth Movement by likening it to violent terrorist groups. We can stop this and this video shows how. Please visit this video, view it often, comment on it, rate it and favorite it - and ask others to do so too. This bill and the motivations behind it can be defeated if enough people speak up.

It is just so frustrating to see propaganda accepted as the truth.
Hitler once said," If you tell a lie enough times, people will begin to accept it as truth. And that is exactly what is happening.
Even main stream media have admitted that there is no connection between 911 and the war in Iraq, but people will believe the first thing they hear and ignore anything after that!
The US went to Iraq on a policy of interventionalism- meaning they intervened on that country without cause or invitation.
There is NO, absolutely none, added level of PEACE in Iraq since the U S went in, quite the contrary. Iraqi civilians get maybe 2 hours of electricity a day, the depleted uranium- a residue from American bombs, is causing unprecedented birth defects- so grotesque that many newborns aren't even recognizable as human beings. People are still displaced, food is short, no clean water, anarchy reigns.
That scene that was shown over and over again on TV of the Iraqi people cheering as the U S army took down the statue of Sadam was totally staged for the media. Those weren't even Iraqi civilians they used in the media piece. We are being totally programed to believe one big lie and it is working!
Pres Bush says they will pull out when the Iraqi gov't is stable, but read the following news paper piece... they are not going anywhere! They are there to stay, and to control the oil.

An American Palace in Iraq and Four Permanent US Bases

"The question puzzles and enrages a city: how is it that the Americans cannot keep the electricity running in Baghdad for more than a couple of hours a day, yet still manage to build themselves the biggest embassy on Earth?" wrote London Times reporter Daniel McGrory on May 3, 2006.

The London Times continued "Irritation grows as residents deprived of air-conditioning and running water three years after the US-led invasion watch the massive US Embassy they call 'George W's palace' rising from the banks of the Tigris.

In the pavement cafes, people moan that the structure is bigger than anything Saddam Hussein built. Fraud & Mismanagement

On May 1, 2003, aboard an aircraft carrier, standing beneath a "Mission Accomplished" banner and in front of the world press, President George W. Bush declared, "We're helping to rebuild Iraq, where the dictator built palaces for himself, instead of hospitals and schools."

A zingy sound-byte, of course, but far from accurate.

For example, an April 30, 2006 report by the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction recounted that a $243 million 2-year US Army Corps of Engineers program to build 150 health care clinics in Iraq has resulted in merely 20 clinics for Iraqi citizens.

And shoddy construction has been alleged at many of the 20 completed clinics. The New York Times wrote of five clinics in Kirkuk, "Interior photographs of the structures show bare walls made of brick fragments through which sunlight streamed and stairs made of concrete already crumbling into dust."

The New York Times reported on April 30, 2006, "Begun in September 2003, the effort, called Task Force Shield, was so disorganized that the auditors were never able to determine basic facts like how many Iraqis were trained, how many weapons were purchased and where much of the equipment ended up, the report says. A fraud investigation is now underway of Task Force Shield.

-- a "swish" American Club for evening social functions
