This is NOT a joke. Turo and I are down. Amy is the Director. We need a script and we need to start casting and rehearsing. The play will open the Red Party this year and we need to make it AWESOME.
No more dicking around. If you really want to participate, jump on this thread and tell us how you'd like to contribute.

Re: I am serious, so is Turo....
Mon, June 18, 2007 - 2:43 PMI can help with writing dialogue.....and set design.
I think we should recruit Scooter too for dialogue.
If we all took one weekend, maybe two, and pounded this out
I think we could get it pulled together enough to start rehearsing.
What do you think?

Mon, June 18, 2007 - 7:56 PMTuro told me at Fuente that they wanted to do the Red Party
on Wednesday night instead of Thursday, to beat the party rush
and get a good turn out. Not sure if he still feels that way...

Re: I am serious, so is Turo....
Mon, June 18, 2007 - 5:14 PMPersonally, I think it's a bit "ambitious" and won't happen- if it were to happen, solid planning would need to begin immediately to make it anywhere near awesome. Musicals are hard work and don't just become great without a LOT of rehearsal (plus good product to begin with). I think being realistic about this is important.

Re: I am serious, so is Turo....
Mon, June 18, 2007 - 7:06 PMNadia is very, very right.
In the instance that material could be put together soon (like in the next couple of weeks), we might be able to mount something. It might be more reasonable for this year to create more of a showcase then an actual show...that way small groups of people can work on things and it would be less difficult to coordinate. -

Re: I am serious, so is Turo....
Wed, June 20, 2007 - 10:39 AMI think a showcase for this year might be a better idea (I'm still down for costume design, if I can get some able hands to help with any sewing - I prefer to include costume 'hunting and gathering').
