renaissance food

I know.. not another Renaissance tribe.... but we are so diverse and creative and into research and just plain chatty that there is always room for one more. This is specifically for renaissance period food, which basically means from the dawn of time til 1600, has to be a stopping point somewhere. We also can discuss various and sundry food myths and facts, one of the biggest debates concerns the big C's coffee and chocolate!

Add any and all pictures, reciepts findings what works what doesnt, even link to other tribes and our other groups out there in the ether.
We are about learning sharing and fun.. so lets have all!
Food is something we all have to have, and trying to set a correct table for the time is important to conveying an accurate portrayel of life of the time, be it at court, on the street, in an inn, in England, France, Germany or Spain. Also new and exotic food, spice and blends from the new world and the Ottoman empire.
