Which one should do anyway. -

The unfortunate thing, IMO, is that the critical thinking skills needed to evaluate film vs. text/facts vs. fiction are not being taught at any level. :-( -

Mon, October 5, 2009 - 5:45 PMWe do textual criticism units with my seniors (of course, I don't call it that to them) in which we compare the texts of books and plays and the films made of them, as well as different translations of texts not originally written in English. I think most of us tend to forget how much of our perception, even of texts like Shakespeare's, is dependent on translators, editors and copyeditors.
