This is a letter of intent to once again take up arms in the practice,
drill and study of the European renaissance style of sideswording and
rapier. These classes are open to anyone with a desire to learn to use a
sword properly and with skill.

The Bankeside Schoole of Defense is once again resuming classes for those
interested in learning the serious art of European martial arts. Our
current curriculum begin with the single rapier and sidesword. As one
becomes more advanced, we work with the rapier's companion weapons and
other weapons to include English Broadsword, Italian and German Longsword,
the quarterstaff and 18th century smallsword.

We will begin classes on Saturday, June 24th 2006 in the city of Riverside,
CA at 12 noon. We train every Saturday at this location.

If you are interested in learning to properly use that Rapier you own and
carry or you just want to learn 16th century style of sidesword and rapier
fighting, then I invite you to join with us in preparing and perfecting our
personal skills and getting ready for next years events. All are welcome
to participate.

The Bankeside Schoole of Defense has been in existence since 1998 and is
dedicated to the serious art of European marital arts with an emphasis on
historical and theatrical movements of the period.
