I am so sorry for not posting something earlier, we had to really scramble to save the event from the bureaucratic jaws of the City of Reno. You see, as a licensed Realtor, I already have an FBI background check on file-- but that and my spotless police record were not enough for them. They wanted a new FBI check on me, that takes months, in order to issue a permit to serve liquor at the Openground Skate Park. We have d6, Nathan, and Jess to thank for doing the footwork to discover all this, and the former of the three for pulling some strings and locking up a great new venue for Yuri's Night 2008... in fact, we now have two venues!

The Bliss nightclub on 4th Street is opening up for our Reno-Compression party not only the nightclub, but the new renovated basement as well! Also the Artspace On 4th Street is just across the street which will ALSO be a Yuri's Night Venue. Think of the possibilities: fire performing in the street lot, deep space chill, basement snuggle pods, mutant vehicle space shuttle service between venues?... we'll have lots to plan and talk about at the next planning meeting in early March. d6: Can you ask Bliss if they will host our next planning meeting?

Thanks for understanding, all. Now that we've hit some turbulence in the planning stage, it is a good compression test for our space vessel as we sail together onward... IN SPACE!
