I just moved here and would love to see a community bike program start in Reno. It seems like an ideal city for it, fairly small (biggest little city eh?) bike racks on busses, University .... I want to live in a place where I can't walk two blocks without seeing a bicycle. Seeing as how I've just started a graduate program at UNR and am committed to being here for 2+ years, moving somplace with more bicycles is not an option right now. I'd rather push to make Reno a better place anyhow. Does anyone know of any efforts to promote Feebikes, Bicycle Libraries, Bike Stations or similar programs here in Reno?

Fri, June 29, 2007 - 3:13 PMI understand Carol Perry is working up an idea for community bikes. She's the Trip Reduction Specialist (in gov-speak) for the Regional Transportaton Commission. Ask her at cperry@rtcwashoe.com.
