If you can believe it, my non-fiction writers tribe is even lamer than this one.

But since you asked, here's me saying something.

I'm bummed that Kim Bradford is leaving her job as the editorial page editor of the Tri-City Herald. There was a noticeable improvement in that section when she took over, and now I'm afraid it's gonna revert back to complete suckiness.

There. Not as fun as HORSLVR and other priceless Nerdwagon gems, but it's something.

Hey Nerdwagon. You still around? Remember trying to get the Tri-Cities Cacophony list going and the only two chatty kathys you caught there were me (Bellingham) and Chris (Wenatchee)? I ended up meeting Chris in person and being very glad that you brought us together. She's helping me with a memorial quilt for my Mom. See, you did good even if it wasn't connecting people in your hometown.

Anyway, I'm all for making connections.

I grew up in Richland. Lived in the same house from birth to 18. Dad still lives there. I went to Hanford from kindergargen through graduation: class of 88.

What about the rest of you yahoos?

honestly though what is there to say about the dry-shitties as they are so affectionatly called. I grew up around here, spent my whole friggin life here except for some lovely experiences when I was 16 and 17 living and loving it in Reno, NV. Talk about a change of pace, little crappy town to the biggest little city in the world. Of course the black hole of washington strutted her stuff when I had to come back here for family reasons. Now I'm livin large and in charge as the property manager over here at the Bali Hi in Richland

<laughs> The girl who keeps trying so hard to get out of this hell hole is now working at one of the oldest hotels in the area, Bali hi was built waaaaaaaay back in '66. I wonder if our dragon feels the same way about the dry-shitties as I do, stuck here since '66 and counting, now he's got a gazebo built around him caging him here, and all his fire blasting parts have been removed. Not only is the bali hi dragon trapped here just like I am, he's now devoid of a way to defend himself against the perilous louses that make up the tri-cities population (don't worry I'm not pointing fingers here).

Oh well at least now I have someone to share My hell with, my beloved fiancee Raiyghn has officially joined me from her hell hole in Missouri. Free to do as she pleases without the fear of crazy hill folk doing horrible things to her, it seems as though she has lightened up since moving here. I must admit that this job has also given us the freedom we need, sure we are trapped at a desk all day, but it's an awesome opportunity to meet some really fascinating people, and being one of the best stocked affordable motels in the area (shameless plug I know) people are usually quite happy to see us as well. Heck we've only been here a couple months and we've made a ton of awesome friends that are coming back to the hotel soon, not just because of the great deals (ok I'll stop with the plugs) but to see us. Who knows, perhaps I'll see one or two of you former tri-citians when you come back to visit loved ones, or just stomp around an old haunt looking for lost memories.

My god I've babbled long enough, I'll stop I promise, here I am shutting up, being quiet now, I'm going to quiet down any time now, I am now zipping it, hushing, and clamming up..........

Thanks for listening guys ~ Rose
