I've read everywhere that having a scorpio ascendant means you are prone to facial afflictions..certainly true for me!
What about everyone else? Is this a general trend for those with Scorpio rising??

Re: Facial afflictions
Thu, December 6, 2007 - 5:54 AMInteresting theory, but it's not really true for me. No scars in my face (but is it weird that I actually kind of "want" one? I think it would add some character and give a unique look...) -

Re: Facial afflictions
Fri, December 7, 2007 - 9:11 PMmy nose was once stuck to the side of my face from a burn accident but aloe vera saved me from major scarring- other than that I do have liver spots on my face -

Re: Facial afflictions
Fri, December 7, 2007 - 11:40 PMscar under chin. Got it jumping off a truck when I was a kid. caught the bed gate leaning up against the cab. I was on the hood. Suposed to be staying out of the way. 5 stitches.
Also at about 38 I developed a small bump on my right eyelid. Had it removed at 39. it came back.

Re: Facial afflictions
Sat, December 22, 2007 - 5:20 PMI have heard that sco risings often have traumatic births -- interventions, crises, et cetera.
I was delivered by forceps, face a little more than usually asymmetrical (no has a perfectly symmetrical face, I don't think). -

Re: Facial afflictions
Sat, December 22, 2007 - 8:40 PMI've had 21 sinus surgeries (major sinus issues Lol) and they have led to a pretty noticeable scar above my left eye. People say it looks "cool" though so I don't complain about it.

Re: Facial afflictions
Mon, January 7, 2008 - 9:31 PMi was in a car accident the doctor who fixed me gave me a keyloid scar under my nostril. i was an early baby they cut my mom before the meds had any effect i was kept in the hospital for weeks due to projectile vomiting. i guess the stress of bein born really freaked me out.

Re: Facial afflictions
Mon, January 14, 2008 - 9:16 PMI also read about Scorpio rising's traumatic births somewhere and I can affirm that belief...
My 15 year old daughter is Scorpio Rising Virgo Sun Pisces moon. Her birth was definitely near tragic - almost lost her. She was my first baby and I was in labor with her for 36 hours after being induced to labor which wasn't progressing. I was on the verge of emergency C-section when her head began to emerge but she got stuck so OB grabbed forceps and delivered her safe and sound. Her face has no afflictions today though as a result. She is quite beautiful with big brown eyes.
I've also read that Scorpio rising also meets tragedy in their marriage so I'm wondering what else possibly lies ahead of her. My own father who was Scorpio sun died of pneumonia 5 months after I got married many years ago. He was only 52 and had married a total of 3 times. But going further back in his history, his own mother died when he was 14. His life was definitely scarred by tragic family stories.

Re: Facial afflictions
Sat, December 29, 2007 - 7:39 AMI have had skin problems, does that count as facial affliction or can I chalk that up to adolescence? :P -

Re: Facial afflictions
Tue, January 1, 2008 - 1:02 PMI have a skin problem till this day, and I'm about to turn 30 in a couple of days... I heard that about Scorpio rising that they have a skin problem... It pisses me off big time, makes me think I will have wrinkles AND all these things on my face. On the other hand, keep up my youthful look... haha. Desperate humour.. -

Re: Facial afflictions
Mon, January 14, 2008 - 11:06 AMHearing about skin problems for scorpio risings is a first for me, it's common with us sun capricorns, and I do have very, very, very dry skin; especially during the winter. I do have a couple od scars on my face from past acne problems during my teenage years, and one on the side of my face from getting a relaxer. I do have what my Mom calls a "lazy eye," or a "lazy" eyelid, never even noticed it or really pay attention to it until people say something, or Moms would be like "open your eye" and I'm like "It is open!" It's so wierd, after I found out what my rising sign is and reading all of the descriptions and relating to other post and comments from everyone, people really do watch me carefully; like noticing shit that ususally don't even pay attention to about my self; like my eyes or some other wierd shit; I look normal everytime I look in the mirror; guess people are fascinated!!
Cheers!!! -

Re: Facial afflictions
Sun, February 3, 2008 - 2:26 AMI've had various facial afflictions over the years, with 4 or 5 scars here and there as a result. Started when I was 4 or 5, playing in my Grandpa's living room. Smacked my head into the corner of the TV set on accident and had to get stitches. As a teenager I got nailed below one eye with a golf ball after I ticked my brother off. I put my car in a ditch 2 weeks after getting my license, nailing my chin on the steering wheel requiring stitches. Got a scar on the back of my head from where my bicycle landed after flipping it in a freakish accident. Had one of my eyes swollen shut a couple times from blunt force trauma of some sort or another. All this and a scar or two that I've forgotten how I ever got them. I haven't acquired any in quite awhile though!! *knocks on wood* -

Sun, May 11, 2008 - 3:55 PMi don't get it... -_-;;;
i watched the clip, and i dunno... -_-;;;
the lack of facial expression? or how creepy his smile looks... or the fact that the mood on his face changes greatly between his smile and his "not smiling" face, which is merely a change in the curve of his lips?

Re: Facial afflictions
Fri, April 11, 2008 - 1:17 AMI have a scar from a dog bite between my mouth and nose since I was eight years old or so.
And I suffered from acne for a long time.
Also I had some inner head injuries after a nazi attack four years ago.
Hm, when I think about it, almost all of the illnesses or injuries that I suffered had to do with my face, my ears, my nose, my eyes.
But, then again, that's quite normal, isn't it?

Re: Facial afflictions
Fri, April 11, 2008 - 11:45 AMNo I don't have any. But I've one of those "softened" ascendants cuz I have Neptune 1degconjunct.

Re: Facial afflictions
Sat, May 10, 2008 - 3:24 AMi think for me, i didn't have acne until i was a junior/senior in high school... and now, it's left some horrific scarring (i've finally gotten it a bit under control), and i have psoriasis issue + dryness around my eyes (near where my epicanthic folds are), and they're prone to bleeding (ugh!) and constant scarring...
i rather wish i didn't have those... T_T -

Re: Facial afflictions
Sun, May 11, 2008 - 5:29 PMInteresting Pea, you have Neptune 0º 27' from conjunct the Ascendant and mine is 0º 19' from conjunct. lol Neptunians.
Anyways, I believe that the reason they say that Scorpio rising is subject to head and facial injuries is because Aries is on the 6th house. The sixth house can deal with health and such. Aries rules the head and face and Mars is the ruler of Aries. I find that Scorpio rising with planets afflicted in Aries are more likely to have these problems. Transits through Aries or to the planets in aries would most likely modify that. -

Re: Facial afflictions
Sun, May 11, 2008 - 6:05 PMwhat if you have nothing in the 6th house (as the case is with me)?
my mars is chilling in 29 degrees in 1st house scorpio of course... ^^;;; -

Re: Facial afflictions
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 4:57 PMMy nose has been broken, I lost skin from the top of my right nosttril from tripping and skidding with my face on rough parking lot when I was 5. I have been kicked in the mouth with boot, had to gets titches for that to close up, I have also been cut open on left eye socket during kickboxing match. more stitches for that, too. Yes my face is not handsome in the traditional way. But I still get dates, Yay! -

Re: Facial afflictions
Mon, June 30, 2008 - 6:56 AMI had Bell's Palsy, definitely a facial affliction, between March and April this year. It was a very strange experience. At first, I thought I was having a stroke with the way my mouth was drawing to the left. It lasted a few weeks, all I have left is the smirk.
