Sometimes, these things are quite tricky. Other times, they are alot more subtle than emphatic.

Like you, I've read the same descriptions; that most Scorpio risers are of below average to average in height, and tall is rare. Personally, I don't put too much faith in the 'physical appearance' descriptions. If we do look for astrological significators in this regard, it would take *far* more than the rising sign, or any one singular aspect, to signify this. The full chart should be taken into consideration: Sun sign, Moon sign, Midheaven Sign, Ruling planets of Sun, Moon, Rising, and their placements, aspects, aspects to the rising sign, ruler of Midheaven, and where it's placed, aspects to that, etc, etc.

For the record, up until my pre-teens, I actually *was* typically average height for that age. Once I hit my teens, I had a growth spurt. I'm Scorpio Rising, and yet, I'm 6 feet-plus. And even though I had a baby photo of myself, with my b-date, place of birth and birth time all listed on the back (when I was a kid), I *still* had to go to the local hall near my birth hospital to obtain my birth certificate with all my info, time of birth, etc, etc. That's just the kind of guy I am, and once I got into astrology years later, I made *sure* the birth time and stuff was a match. Surely enough, It said the exact same thing which was listed on the back of my old baby photo. So, last time I checked, when I plugged in this birth info, it says I'm Scorpio Rising, and I'm well over 6 feet tall, LOL!

most of the time, unless you have tall relatives, you're not going to be too tall. My mom's family happened to be tall for their time (while my dad's family happened to be more of the average height). I am 5'6", which is tall for people of my nationality, and above average for normal American women.

i also have heavy aquarius and scorpio influence. Those two signs have the strongest influence; thus I have swimmer's shoulders (although I don't swim), and I have a more curvy body than an average Aquarius. I also have slightly wavy hair, although most Asians have pin straight hair.

I lived in America through puberty, and food related to it. I'm not stick thin like most Asians, and have quite a bit of fat.

It's also interesting that I have very prominent "double fold" eyes which is more of a rare thing for Asians (that is... naturally), but my little brother, who has capricorn sun and gemini moon has "single fold" eyes... and is the only one in our family with such eyes. My dad with his scorpio sun, also has very strong "double fold" eyes, especially for a male. He also has big eyes, which I seemed to have received as well.

As humans are social animals and depend on the environment for survival, we can't just focus on astrology charts, but the environment and genetics surrounding that person, I'd think.

And I think Edward Norton is also a Scorpio Rising and he's tall and skinny...
