How Deep Does Your Scorpio Go?

I've read somewhere that because of Scorpio's penetrative nature, that it goes 'deeper' into our sun sign personalities that would any other ascendant.

How does that manifest for you? Do you agree or disagree?

I'm inclined to believe that. My natural disposition tends to be very...well, pasturish. I fit right in with nature, I'm happiest in the sunshine and woods. I usually get my way, unless I don't (then I just get my way later, when it's more inconvenient). I'm a pretty balanced individual, great with money, and generally a 'rock' to the water sign, emotional people around me (for the most part, that's what surrounds me). Now, perhaps my Scorpio seems stronger because I have so much water in my chart, but we'll go with the theory that that isn't it. I do need to hole up sometimes. I do have that charismatic persona, I do have penetrative eyes, I am very secretive. I suppose I see Scorpio as a sort of external shield to protect my squishy Taurean, but it seems like there is a dark place inside of me where Scorpio goes too. Granted, I have a Pisces moon, but no, it feels very Scorpionic.

Marriage Sign ~ Have you been dating the wrong sign?
Have you been dating the wrong sign?

MARRIAGE SIGN

Your relationship is based on your true natal sky.

MARRIAGE IN SECONDS

My florist predicts marriage while packing flowers for her clients. Thus, her clients get to know when they will be married, within an informal chat. They have no need to go to the astrologer, who would hardly be able of such a feat. How can this be? The florist in question is one of the many people we have met and taught a simple calculus in minutes. They are not astrologers at all, and are therefore able to perform a little calculus, as well as tell the Sun sign for anyone they meet. The florist in question can tell you all the loves in your life, if you stop at her shop for twenty minutes. On several occasions, people like the local butcher, have framed and determined the whole life of a surprised client and astrologer, who got pinned to the point in minutes while the butcher packed the order.

FLORIST ASTROLOGY

Now who is the astrologer, the butcher or his client? Another famous astrology writer received his initiation from a florist, while on holiday. When he asked her if she were an astrologer, she smiled sheepishly, as she has never seen an ephemeris, natal chart or personal computer. She does things by heart. From the heart of the corner florist and into your ears. Anyone can know the year and month, also day and hour of his or her marriage. That is done in seconds as it does not require special astrological knowledge. What we have to present here is an elaborate introduction in elementary astrology, not the one you will find in the newspaper, but real sky astrology, genuine as the flower and fresh bread. In reading forth you will be baking your flowering future. It took twenty minutes to make an astrologer from our florist. It will take twenty minutes to read the following essay. Read it particularly if you are not interested in astrology at all. The less the interest, the greater the knowledge. Read it if you hate astrology. Go forth and read it. It was written on purpose in order to save your children, life, marriage, health and stocks.

TWO SIGNS OF ERROR

Your natal ascendant and Sun position may play tricks on you. Having a false personality bears heavy on one's back. In order to enjoy a healthy living, accurate scanning of the natal planetary positions is paramount. After being told that tropical astrology offers one sign of error, one goes to sidereal or even eastern astrologers, only to be fooled again. The error is not one sign as popular magazines inform, but two signs.

TWO SIGNS SHIFT EXAMPLE

Taking that superstition has been more or less standardized through various programs that calculate planetary positions, we assume that the programs more or less agree on each other, having 12 ascendants and 12 zodiacal positions. It is, however, interesting to compare the results of such programs with the real sky. Here is an example. One our client has been told that she is “Scorpio” with “Capricorn” ascendant. While both constellations are clearly misspelled, one inspects the real sky in order to determine the true positions of the client's natal planets. Capricornus clearly can not rise at east at this epoch, thus one does not need any scan in ordine to determine nonsense. The scan shows Sun in Virgo along with Pisces ascendant. Everybody can perform this experiment, using any astronomic tool. They have been cheating on you all of the time, passing unqualified data under your nose while swindling your karma and daily life with two signs of error. You have been dating the wrong sign. They will tell you that in the west you are this and in the east you are that, but you can easily prove to anyone of them that they are liars who never knew how to determine the position of the natal Sun for themselves.

CAVEAT EMPTOR

Consider making a horoscope for yourself, using any astronomic program or inbuilt planetarium, rather than ruining family life and your child's career with dangerous superstition. Always consult NASA Sun ephemeris. We posted these ephemeris and also published several animated displays of the real skies on http://lulu.com/astrology Mail us at klaudio_zic@yahoo.com and you will receive data directly from the NASA server.

SCORPIUS

Here is a strip of the NASA Sun ephemeris. Sai Baba has been born on November 23rd with Sun in Libra. “Oph” stands for Ophiuchus.

2008-Nov-23 00:00 Lib
2008-Nov-24 00:00 Sco
2008-Nov-25 00:00 Sco
2008-Nov-26 00:00 Sco
2008-Nov-27 00:00 Sco
2008-Nov-28 00:00 Sco
2008-Nov-29 00:00 Sco
2008-Nov-30 00:00 Oph

The Sun spends only a week in Scorpius. Now we were born on Nov 28th. Guess our zodiacal sign?

MEDICAL ASTROLOGY

Whoever wants to have the wrong organ cut may continue to believe in the astrology as presented by popular newspapers. It is greatly assumed that people go to the astrologer for fun, but what if they pay serious attention to advice? They will have the wrong organ cut out on the wrong day and hour in the wrong month or year, where there was no need to cut anything at all, as Neptune was not in that house.
HOUSE OF MARRIAGE

Neptune was not in the other house either. Starting with not knowing where the Sun is, is an excellent introduction in general chaos where madman takes advice and counsel from madman. The poor fellow is tossed forth through Chinese, Mayan, Indian signs and across an array of specialised tarots in order to reach the end of the month penniless and confused. The chief of the London Astrology Lodge emerged from the gypsy's tent confused. Even an excellent astrologer like him could not know it all. At the time there was no zodiac, ascendants were rambling around and planets were tossed at random from house to house. Not one house system was working. Imagine how many cases of divorce issued on account of Neptune in 7th that was in fact in 6th. Latitude was unknown and major errors made in further prediction. Some tarot initiation would help the gypsy, providing that she can set 40 years apart for the first card. Fortunately, the gypsy wrote no books, to our best knowledge, blessed may improvise futurity in Heaven.

DATING

Now when two people meet, errors multiply. When a Scorpio/Capricorn meets a Virgo/Aries, the issue is gloomy, as hopefully not depending on astrology. They will marry anyway. If children are healthy, crops abundant and prosperity widely spread before the couple, initial astrological errors can be discarded with meticulous “even the wrong system works for us” nonchalance.

WHO ARE WE?

We determiend the zodiac and ascendant set. The Academic Zodiac is the great zodiac of our time, the first scientific zodiac that we ever had. Apart from the 22 zodiacal stations, a second set of precessed ascendants guards the angel guardian at east from superstition and false astrology. Your true personality is based on your true natal sky. The implications of zodiacal reformation as we approach year 2012 are vast as concern its application in masonic ritual, national heraldry and holy architecture. To begin with, UNICEF will help every child to true natal skies for everyone. After more than 5000 years, we have finally taken off the chains that bounded us to false identities as spelled by false ascendants, sun signs and impossible planetary positions. Zodiacal reformation is art of the planetary exorcism as speeding evolution towards Mayan 2011 or 2012.

FORBIDDEN SCIENCE

The LORD forbade Chaldean calculus for several obvious reasons. This ancient superstition was inaccurate. The Chaldean ascendant was fixed to an unmoving sky, lacking precession. Some of the ancients believed in unmoving skies with 12 fixed ascendants. If that would be so, we would never have precession. False ego is from the devil, as prone to every kind of superstition, like the 12 ascendants, a popular nonsense in which many believe to this day. The victims of misinterpretation can blame authors like Ptolemy but no blame can be attached to immaculate Hipparchus. Hipparchus strongly rebuked the “astrologers” of his time, who stole into the marketplace armed with a sheet of outdated knowledge. In order to cheat on their customers, “astrologers” invented a nonsensical string of apparently learned expressions, by which they were hiding a simple truth: they were never able to determine the position of their own natal Sun.

DETERMINING THE ZODIAC

In order to discreate false ego, we inspected the zodiac and ascendant set for different epochs. The scan was done in twenty minutes with primitive tools. In these twenty minutes, the zodiac was determined. The set of ascendants took less than five minutes to determine. Moses was an Egyptian initiate who knew how to count the constellations. He no doubt inspected the Orion cycle as main nether ascendant in ancient Egypt. The zodiac has 22 constellations, while the eastern ascendants for the current epoch are only 16 in number. The Hebrew alphabet is thus compatible with the zodiac, much as popular Tarot games fall in the category of 22. A separate set, a sort of Minor Arcana, was devised to serve as ascendant set. This set has a total of 88 cards, but in various epochs it served as partial set of e.g. 16 or 36 cards. The court cards of the Tarot may thus represent the set of ascendants for the current epoch. Thoth gave us only three Tarot initiations, and for good reasons, while the 4th and 5th are still being written. Previous epochs, when the Art flourished, had towards two dozen ascending constellations at due east. It is in one of these epochs that we established our intent, interest and basis for Egyptian initiation.

NO MORE HEROES ANY MORE

Newspapers dedicated to superstition will quote each other on the so-called vernal point in Aries, where the Sun is imagined as rising in Aries at spring equinox. At this epoch, Aries does not rise at east, at all. Having “Aries ascending” in one's horoscope is pure fancy. Aries did ascend, through, at the time of King Arthur, when men were brave and castles rammed, in order to free the lovely lady and true mind from the dragon and local tyrant, false ego. Knights born with Crater ascending would join the Holy Grail pursuit.

THE AGE CETUS

The Sun not only does not rise at east in Aries for spring equinox, but it can be argued whether it rises in Pisces at all. There is a thin line between Cetus and Pisces as determined by the IAU standards, with little stars and proofs as to the real constellation the Sun is in. Cetus has three zodiacal sections through which e.g. The Moon is driven on its serpentine way towards Aries, where Pluto sinks into Cetus and towards Eridanus or where Earth co-orbitals and Eris meet. Pluto can have a conjunction with Eris in Cetus. One of the main occasions in which astronomers surely had a hearty laughter was when someone proclaimed a kind of “rulership of Pluto in Aries”. Greenwich must have roared with laughter when some “astrological lodge” in the neighborhood proclaimed “Pluto rising in Aries”. The poor astrologers or whatever they were never knew that Pluto never enters Aries. The asinine astrologers of our time will surely have Eris in Taurus, another impossible position. One must pardon people for not knowing how to calculate the position of their natal sun or lacking money for a ticket to Greenwich. After all, we are all only human, prone to make mistakes. Pluto sinks into Cetus from Aquarius, heading towards Eridanus. Pluto never entered Pisces or Aries and never will. Already this reliable astronomic fact is enough to debunk “astrology” as dangerous superstition for the masses. A clever child will come to the same conclusion, and disallow any influence from authoritative superstition. And if it is hell to go through, let him head the words of Sir Winston Leonard Spenser Churchill: “If it is hell you are going through, keep going.”

PLANETARY EXORCISM

In order to ram one's mind into focus, one either stops thinking, like fishermen often do, or concentrates, like Bobby Fisher often did. Whatever “method” is valid as psyche falls off in order for true mind to emerge victorious. All superstition is based on psyche roaming the psyche. The psyche can not analyse itself, as it was exclusively forced unto one in order to enslave one. Only the hero can free Andromeda from chains and Cetus below, false ego. The superhero in Aries checks Cetus as Lamb of God. All fairy tales and myths are centered upon the simple fact that Adam is enslaved and liberation hard to achieve against a strong, unknown and slippery enemy, the devil. Freud called it psyche.

CATALOG OF ERRORS

It would take folio volumes to produce an entertaining reading for astrology lovers, in which all the facets of this superstition are ridiculed as faced with scientific facts. We love astrology and pardon its mistales, but to some extent we feel asinine in following just every bit of nonsense that brave men added to this fascinating field of human knowledge over the eons. How can one prove a rainy day to a believer who soaks wet but believes that it is sunny? False ego is not even dealt with, it is discarded. We never analysed all the facets of superstitious astrology, as we clearly determined the zodiac, in order to have a reliable scientific field in which to work with accuracy.

As nobody cares for accuracy in superstition, the muddy waters are being muddled even more, thus soon we shall have Spica Virginis entering “Scorpio”, while this star has spent ages in Libra, as afforded to her by the fancy of asinine astrologers, who slam planets here and there according to their bizarre fancy.
Spica Virginis gives the magic flavor to one of the longest zodiacal stations, Virgo. Where else would Spica Virginis be as main star of Virgo constellation? It is obviously in Virgo. Astronomers do not shift this star anywhere else. Why should they? They are dealing with the real sky and are surely not bent to cheat on us. Precisely because of their honesty, they are shunned by “astrologers”.
The zodiacal error as presented to the masses is not only two signs or two constellations. Two signs of error are just the beginning of a long series of errors that we can not possibly enumerate in our lifetime and beyond. From a couple of basic errors, all other errors stem in succession. The most serious error was that we never had a zodiac. Nobody cared to scan the zodiac. Astronomers apparently never needed one, as they remain disinterested in zodiacal or ascendental classifications, quite obsolete in modern astronomy. Astrology was a funny pastime as based on coffe table belief in 12 rising signs that serve as zodiacal constellations or signs. Since astrology never entered the field of science, any superstition served fairly well for entertainment purpose. If there was a time when astrology was taken seriously, we must look towards the first examples of Egyptian synastry. That has been done and reestablished in a refreshed initiate system, as included in the RTRRT or Real Time Reality Rendering Tools, a historical name for a set of instant magick techniques. Exorcism can start with consulting the NASA ephemeris for the Sun. One will find that e.g. the Sun is in Libra on November 23rd, Sai Baba's birthday.
The ascendant is determined by the eastern star, or guardian angel. At the present epoch no one can have “Capricorn”, “Scorpio” or Aries ascendant.
If “Capricorn” is determined by one of the many quack programs in use, then it is probably Pisces rising at east. Whoever feared one's own “Capricorn” ascendant may relax, as Capricornus, the proper spelling, does not rise at east at this epoch.
If they have told you that you are “Scorpio”, relax, because you may be Virgo.
Orbs were invented to make up for the enormous amount of error. Orbs have no place in astrology. The event happens to the second it was predicted. The orb of influence of a planet is pure fancy.
Aspects between projections are replaced with angular aspects in the real sky.
An unsurmountable deal of asinine literature proposes the most unbelievable aspects that include 11 or 111 degrees. In a horoscope where everything is misplaced by miles, the refined charlatans inspected stuff like an 18 degree aspect. With quarter of sky of error for planetary position, they played the minute scientist. This is typical of the psyche, which distracts from the quintessential while driving people mad with petty nonsense. You will find examples of people driving mad other people with nonsense in your suburb, neighborhood and TV.
There is no such thing as Mars opposing Pluto. True, sometimes aspects come close to 180 degrees, but occasions are rare. If we come to 177 degrees of angular aspect, take five while remembering that 3 degrees is 3 years of error in direction.
The natal horoscope does not determine the events. The directions determine the event. Thus for Carl Gustav Jung, the secondary angular direction of Moon in Cetus determined his childhood.
Alice has been born on Aug 4th 2004 with Moon rising in Cetus, Mercury in Sextans and Venus in Orion at the Stargate. She has Juno in Scutum and Pluto in Serpens Cauda, the ascendant of the U.S.A. This diligent little girl is vital for the future of her nation, but her parents did not know it before the astral scan has been made for the child.

Can someone tell me about my combo?? Scorpio Rising

Everyone on here is so well informed!! I thought I knew a little about astrology..anyway I am curious about my combo, Taurus sun (but I'm an Aries cusp) Scorpio Rising, Aquarius Moon...I will try to post my chart.

I definitely have a strong scorpio influence, mars and pluto both in scorpio...Things happen in my life that I almost "see coming". My mother committed suicide out of nowhere when I was 13. When I was younger I always felt that she may pass away before I was ready for her to . I am definitely a survivor but I want to tap into the positive traits that come from the major signs in my chart, esp. Scorpio.

After I graduated college I developed major social anxiety and still have it when I am in a place that's unfamiliar to me. I immediately want to run away and hide. The weird thing is that this is farely new in my life...as a child and teen I always loved performing, singing, and dancing and was really outgoing. I still am but I am much more guarded. I dont know if this is just growing pains or what but the scorpio influence has definitely started to take over. The funny thing is most people see me as this strong, confident person who can do anything but thats now how I feel inside!!! Logically I know I am capable of anything but I still have so much anxiety! I can get anyone to love me once they know me but the people that dont, tend to stay away or I just get funny vibes from them.

Do any other Scorpio risings have trouble with this?

I am also really am interested in knowing what career path I should continue on..I am a true taurean in the sense that I love beautiful things and anything artsy... I have Leo Midheaven but I have no planets there. I currently work at a fashion mag but am thinking about going into interior design? But I still love my fashion bknd. I am totally confused and uneasy about this part of my life because career and status are so important to me.

Ok enough for the dissertation. Any comments????

bastards of the zodiac

dont kno if people have seen this before, but hilarious nonetheless

scorpio bastard bein my favorite of course

ARIES
Boy does he yearn for the times when men were men and women were grateful.

English is his second language, grunting is his first. And all he can grunt about is himself, his career, his sporting
achievements and how feminists would be a lot less uptight if he gave them a good shag. If the bastard you fancy puts
on Vivaldi in the evening, whips up a nice little souffle a deux and then settles down to read Jane Austen to you,
he's almost certainly gay and he's definitely not Aries.

TAURUS
A typically stubborn Taurean male always knows better than a female. Even when he doesn't.

As the zodiac's number one control freak, Taurus knows what's good for you. Even though he patently isn't.
Paradoxically, when he's not running - and therefore ruining - your life, the Taurean bastard is busy being
chronically lazy. His sloth-like ways do not bode well for what we will generously describe as your 'sex-life'
with him. If you find yourself with a Taurus our only advice here is to make the most of your rapidly deteriorating
mental health by raving like a maniac. That means he'll be forced to stop doing likewise and be helpful for once by
rushing round trying to find you a good psychiatrist.

GEMINI
Gemini bastards are completely and utterly mad.

A Gemini bastard has many demons - a multitude of personalities living inside him, each of whom qualifies as a
bastard in his own right. Because Gemini lives amid this turmoil he will continually change his ideas and opinions.
What he says today won't mean anything tomorrow and it probably didn't mean much today either. You could see this
as a natural result of him having to deal with his conflicting personalities. Or you could see this as a result of
him being a two-faced, two-timing, lying bastard.

CANCER
Used to sneak his mother's Barbara Cartland novels when normal boys were shoplifting Hustler.

Any boy should have the decency to look visibly embarrassed when Mummy combs his hair and wipes his face with a
hanky laced with her own spit. When he's thirty-eight. However we're not talking about a grown man here, are we?
We're talking about Cancer. It doesn't actually matter whether you are compatible with a Cancer bastard. Getting
on with him isn't half as important as getting on with the woman who reared him. After all, she's the one responsible
for making him the fine figure of a man that he is definitely not today.

LEO
A complete bloody nightmare.

His entrance will always be preceded with a drum roll. If you miss his entrance you'll find him already strategically
positioned under a spotlight. You can't miss him there - not with the two game show hostesses on either side of him
pointing him out. You might also notice The Hand Of God above his head scrawling a cloudy message in the air: women
of the world, my gift to you. Regards, God. Do the deed on the third date. You'll need to do something to avoid
hearing his life story again and sex will shut him up nicely.

VIRGO
If you're looking for a man that no other woman will ever want to steal, you've finally found him.

Ever wondered what goes on in the mind of a serial killer? Find out what Interpol has been trying to discover for
years and date a Virgo bastard. If you are currently in love with a Virgo and you don't want to believe the truth,
pick up any detective novel that features an ice-pick-wielding nutter and then try telling us he doesn't remind
you of someone you know and it's all just a bunch of coincidences. If he looks vaguely familiar, that's because
he is. You probably saw an artist's sketchy impression on Crimewatch the night before and faintly remember words
like 'bludgeoned', 'manhunt' and 'Virgo'.

LIBRA
Life is getting more complex. The half-flush or the full-flush? The stress is unbelievable.

Charmingly boyish, well-dressed - with the nicely blow-dried hair and a vacant look on his face. Not much more than a
large Ken doll with movable limbs, he's only appealing to women still under the age of eight. Anyone older will see
that he is plastic and empty, with a preference for unrealistically proportioned women. Because he is completely
shallow, he lacks the depth required to make a decision or a commitment. The Libra bastard will never make either.

SCORPIO
A sneaky, nasty, controlling bastard, a master manipulator and a world-class pervert.

Any relationship of any length with a Scorpio bastard is guaranteed to wreck your emotional health, your
self-esteem or, at the very least, your enjoyment of life. Scorpio makes Darth Vader look like Mr Whippy.
He'll hold a grudge against you until the day you die. Say you flirt harmlessly with a work colleague of his at
the office Christmas party. It won't cross your mind that Scorpio is upset about it until one fine day three years
later when he retaliates by sleeping with your maid of honour and your sister just hours before he marries you.

SAGITTARIUS
Past philosphers used a comforting tool: 'I think, therefore I am not Sagittarius'.

Sagittarius does everything back to front. He speaks before he thinks, leaps before he looks and loves you only after
you have left him. Which is why when people say Sagittarius is a lucky bastard, they're dead right. the fact you
haven't murdered him yet is a miracle. Blessed with the smarts of a particularly backward brontosaurus and the sort of
sexual appetite that even Caligula would deem excessive, the Sagittarian bastard is compatible with very few women. Not
because he's fussy - he's not. It's just that most women prefer a man who thinks with his brain.

CAPRICORN
The heart of a loan shark, the humour of an undertaker and the sensitivity of a tax auditor.

Capricorn takes everything seriously. He is hard-working and ambitious. He wants to get married and raise a family.
He has no problem with the concept and implementation of commitment. He'll even be faithful to you - although this
can't be guaranteed as he is a man. But there is a catch. Before whisking you off into the sunset, he has to check
your credit rating. And no, he's not joking. He never jokes about money, or anything else come to think of it.

AQUARIUS
He seems like any normal bloke. Don't be fooled, the Aquarius is about as 'normal' as a pig with wings.

Aquarius is the most reasonable bastard you'll ever encounter. In his mind every viewpoint gets a hearing, every
belief system has some legitimacy. This, in turn, could lead you to think he is actually more morally superior and
ethically sound than the rest of his male peers. Don't be fooled. It makes him different from the other eleven bastards, not better. Look in the little rubber boats that chase Japanese whaling ships or leaky oil tankers; there'll be at least one half-drowned Aquarius on board. Find him attractive and he'll be completely oblivious to your existence. Ignore him and he'll be all over you.

PISCES
Quite simply Pisces is a pathological liar.

Because he's at the arse-end of the zodiac, Pisces is often referred to as the astrological 'rubbish tip'. What this
means is he has a little bit of all bastards in him, which therefore makes him a bastard twelve times over. This in
turn means he's obliged to tell massive fibs so you won't find out the awful truth. Obviously, the quicker off the
mark you are, the sooner you'll spot the yawning chasm between fact and ficton and faster you can drop him. Because
to be honest, once the thrill of catching him out wears off, you'll begin to resent being a full-time lie detector on
legs.

Scorpio Rising in Love - Do you have these same problems?

I've been in a relationship with my boyfriend for 4 years now and we have no major problems. Our problems are small in comparison to other relationships but always the same, he gets mad at me about something little or wants me to "change" something small, i get defensive and we become rivals until we work the situation out. Then we're back to normal...I'm taurus sun, scorpio rising, aquarius moon. He's capricorn sun, taurus rising, capricorn moon. As you can see we technically are very compatible and have the same interests, goals, etc. but our moons are constantly butting heads. I also often tell myself that if we were to break up I hope he would feel the burn of not having me in his life. He knows this and said i was selfish for that. I know this is typical scorpio rising. Anyone else feel the same way? I love him so much but that capricorn "know it all" attitude bugs the hell out of me!

Scorpio Rising in love

Found this at the Astrology Tribe, and thought I'd post it here. Very well written, and I know it rings a lot of true for me:

Male

The Scorpio rising is strong, secretive, and driven. His greatest goal is transformation--of his mate, society, his work experiences, and most of all, himself. This man needs to feel in control at all times...it's the woman who makes him feel out of control that often steals his heart. He needs adventure in his life, especially sexually.

Once he commits to the woman of his choice, he expects it to be now and forever, but then something strange happens--the man that was laid back and entertaining, the man who scheduled secret rendezvous and sent intensely passionate love letters gets scared. Forever looms large before him and he starts tightening the reins on his loved one, ever so gently binding her to him. At the first sign of disapproval on her part, he pulls the rope tighter.

What is he scared of? He is terrified that she will leave him, that she will betray him, and worst of all, that she will find someone else to expend her passion with. How can a woman handle such intensity? She has to give him reassurance, every day. He notices all the little things and appreciates a woman who takes the time to tell him that she loves him--daily, even ten times a day wouldn't be too much. But it better be true and he will sense it immediately if his love is lying to him.

When love goes wrong for this man, he can go two different routes: he will get even, or he will sink into a depression of the worst kind. Once he throws off the shackles of the sour relationship in his mind, however, he won't look back. He will throw himself into work, a new relationship, his creativity-- something that is important to him. He will emerge transformed and that's what he is about, anyway. Sexually, he can be what some people would term as 'kinky'.

His inhibitions are few and his appetite large. He likes to watch and may ask his partner to perform for him. He may also be into bondage or higher forms of sexual expression such as the practice of tantric sex. As the Scorpio risings intuition is very sharp, sex is possibly his best form of expression.

Female

The Scorpio rising female is a mystery, to herself and to men. Sexuality is her most potent force and she attracts men in every crowd. She knows what she wants, and any man she becomes interested in will know it is he. She isn't afraid to approach a man either as a business partner or for a relationship of a more intimate nature.

This woman is a mind reader but she won't always let her partner know this...sometimes it's better to keep this knowledge to herself as a secret weapon. Passion is something a relationship with a Scorpio rising will never lack--be it as a screaming match or an all night party for two. She needs romance in the form of sensual fabrics, oils, and scents. She, like her male counterpart, expects any commitment to last forever and she will work very hard to accomplish this.

Scorpio rising can be very dominating and smothering--when she comes across in this manner it is a sure sign that she needs attention and reassurance. She will not tolerate an unfaithful partner and she will quickly make a plan of revenge, even if her plan doesn't extend beyond removing her cheating mate from her presence forever. Indeed, that is likely the worst fate, for once a man is in love with a Scorpio, he will never forget her.

Their relationship may dissolve into a love/hate type of connection and he may never see her again, but he will long remember the passionate nights they spent together in front of the fireplace, or the other nights he spent tied to the bedpost. He will be very hard pressed to find that combination of emotional faithfulness and sexual intensity again... unless he becomes involved with another Scorpio type.

Hello, New Scorpio Rising.

As of lately I have been completely obsessed with astrology and I found out a couple of months ago that there was more to astrology than just a sun sign. Im a Gemini sun, Scorpio rising and Taurus Moon. I don't know what the moon and the rising mean but i know that it my rising Scorpio intensifys my personality. By reading and learning these past couple of months I have learned that being a Scorpio rising is cool but hard at times. I understand why sometimes I may seem unapproachable but when people get to know me they say im the sweetest, happiest, nicest, coolest, smartest, most articulate girl they know. but its hard for me for people to see the good and sweet about me because i think i come off to intense and magnetic...i dunno how to tone that down..if possible. However, when i am comfortable with people I am my Gemini self and my Gemini self is the greatest part of me. In love i wish i were more the Gemini than the Taurus or Scorpio but alas I tend to bring my Moon Opposition Pluto( which ive read is a really hard aspect.) I have a pic of my eyes in my album so you can really see that Scorpio gaze and when you tick me off i might plot the sweetest revenge. Smart and Tactile lol....you probably wouldn't know what hit you cuz my Gemini is really smart. I find that the reason I got into astrology is because I have a polarity between my personalities, I don't have a mental illness and it doesn't run in my family but I am all over the place and I want to understand why. As what I have read and what i feel is that i am a living contradiction and only wish to bring the best parts of my personality out. I have inner conflict and turmoil and i think its the Scorpio rising, Mixed with the airy Gemini and the earth and stability of a Taurus.
More about me, I have Saturn and Uranus in my 1st house but i don't know what that means.
I hope to learn more about myself by learning from my fellow Scorpio risings.

here is my chart I would love for some help in reading the good the bad and the ugly:
Is there a way to enhance this communication? is there a significance for this type of bond???

michael phelps = cancer sun + mars

supposedly falls in scorpio rising's 9th house.

so does that mean that every scorpio rising woman with cancer 9th house will have a crush on him or something?

any of you wanna admit to that?

PLANETS IN OUR 1ST HOUSE

We've all got Scorpio rising, but many of us might have a few planets in the 1st house (which is supposed to alter it to some extent).
Thought it would be interesting to find out what planets (if any) you have in that house, and how you think its changed your Scorpionic ways. If any of you have any interesting interpretations of each planet there, then please do post it so we can all benefit from it.

I've personally got two very different (and contradicting) planets in the 1st house.
One's Uranus (with its unique, different, and eccentric qualities), and the other one's Saturn (restrictive, cautious, serious), and they're both conjunct each other. And to this day, i find it kinda difficult to point out how its affected me. I definitely feel Uranus qualities (most people see me as being different and usual, hopefully in a good way).
Now, I used to be a shy and reserved person as a kid (thanks to the Saturn), but am just the opposite now a days, outgoing, bubbly and extroverted. If any one knows how these two very different planets work/fight with each other, then please do share it with me!

Summer time High Noon for Sco Asc!

When I read "newspaper" sunsign astrology, I find that the Scorpio reading is more pertinent than the sun sign's reading. I really like Georgia Nicol's style ( www.georgianicols.com ) and this week she pointed out something that's quite apparent, but never really occurred to me before ... which is that into full summertime, that the sun is right at the top of our Sco Asc chart. There is a double whammy to this, for me, because my sun sign's ruling planet, Uranus, is also in Leo. And many precipitous events have happened in my life in the second half of summer ... or rather, I have pulled the plug and/or struck out in new directions, about August, -ish.

Anyways, this is what Georgia put in her free weekly email forecast for the coming week:

"... This is the only time all year when the Sun is at high noon in your chart, shining down on you. Because this acts like a spotlight on you, others notice you more than usual, especially bosses, parents and VIPs. Not only that, they're impressed with what they see. (Don't question this.) Make the most of this. Now is the time to press your agenda and further your plans, especially plans that need to be approved or sanctioned by people in authority. Someone will ask you to give your artistic input on something - design, layout, pages, rooms, buildings - something. Just do it. Because everyone thinks you're great right now, they'll love your input. ..."

Anyone else feel this way, around this time?

Astro.com says im a sco ascendant, but some other websites (and also a manually created one by some astrologer) say im pisces ascendant, with the same birth details. It's all left me quiet confused...
So my question now is, based on my physical appearance, do i seem more like a sco or pisces ascendant? I definately feel more scorpionic, but as a stranger, which do i look like most? Thinking it might help me figure out which one I really am.
Thanks 4 any answers in advance! x

RELOCATION CHART?

How many of you have heard of this before?

A relocation chart is a natal horoscope moved to a different location. It's a chart cast for the same cosmic instant of birth, but looked at from another location, as if the birth happened there. The planets' sign positions all remain the same, but they will appear in different houses at different locations, thus altering their strengths and areas of influence. So, if you were born in New York, for instance, and then moved to Paris, your relocation chart would have any first house planets shifted about 90 degrees clockwise into the tenth house; tenth house planets would be shifted into the seventh house, and so on, thus giving your natal chart a whole new look for your Parisian adventures. In fact, if it turns out to be a significant improvement, you might even want to move there. Or, perhaps you might just want to visit when you are doing the kind of things that your Paris relocation chart favors -- work, play, health, creativity -- depending on your planets' relocated house positions.

You don't have to actually show up at a strong relocation place to have it affect you. You may well find that areas where you have locality planets, midpoints, transits, or progressions on the angles have a way of waltzing into your life unannounced, or that you'll find yourself dealing with people who live there in a way that is described by your chart in that locality. In the era of electronic world travel, you may not need to go out of your door to find your different relocation charts working for you.

I just created mine out of curiosity, and it seems to have high lighted the scorpio in my chart even more.
In my new chart im a 5 degrees sco asc with pluto conj it. And the mercury and mars are both in the 8th house.
Dont know whether that's a good thing or bad thing, because as we all know, scorpio is a difficult sign to live with (especially as an asc).

Would be interesting to find out what your opinions are about the so called "Relocation chart", and possibly post your own, and let us know what changes you found in your ones. :)

What are your feelings about it? Is it something you like to do?

If you're single, I suppose it's more likely. How about those in relationships? Do you still tend to like to flirt with others? (and likewise, are you OK with someone who is clearly involved in a relationship, flirting with you?)

taste in music: energetic?

I don't know if music taste has something to do with the rising sign. But I noticed a similarity with other scorp rising people:
we like all kinds of music, but there has to be some kind of energy in the song.
Some simple bass lines or an aggressive singer do the job for me, like punk or rock or some indie- or even jazz-pieces .
Or, then again, quite brainy music like Xenakis or Messiaen are great in some of my moods. There's definitely a lot of energy in it.
Most of what's played in clubs or in commercial mainstream radios just seems boring and superficial.

I was thinking today about how I've had many romantic 'relationships', but that they always seem to last about as long as a firework. It's a cycle that is driving me crazy, the coy look, light flirting, touching, sexuality (whether or not sex is had), a moment of contentment, then the angst, the arguments...and finally, the disappearing. The timing of all this changes, but the cycle doesn't.

Have any of you had this problem? I wonder if having a Scorpio rising has anything to do with this very phoenix-ish relationship pattern. It's infuriating.

scorpio rising popularity can be damaging.

Hi. I am double Scorp sun/rising. The things they say about appearance rings true for me concerning the magnetic ways of the scorp rising. I am not trying to be narcissistic(did I spell it right?). But I am very popular with the ladies where I work. It is a clinic where out of 500 employees, 90% are women. My job is Handyman for 20 of these clinics. I run into everyone. I have done work for every department and I am the best man in my team. I am one of the few men these ladies ever see in their work day aside from deliverymen and water-cooler man. But my job has me coming to the rescue, so to speak ,for many people. Ladies like to watch me work. I have many fans and admirers. The way I have been handling this has been professional. I am always polite and courteous. I get complements and come ons but I usually just say "thank you" and go to the next job. I have dated some girls here, but I am careful who it is because I seem to be watched by everyone and people just love to gossip. I have been able to do things at work without getting caught and it has been quite adventurous. Now I have fallen inlove with a fickle virgo girl who seems to love me back but thinks I will cheat on her, due to my popularity. When in reality,I fall inlove with a girl and she becomes my obsession and muse. She does not know that my eyes close to all others and I only "see" her. Virgos gotta have that security though and she is still unsure that the will be safe with me.
She is the one I chose. Now we are being attacked by gossip and haters trying to delve into our love life. Although I am forever fearless in the face of adversity. I think it is taking a terrible strain on her at work. I fear that it is affecting how she feels about me. In my everyday life, I am powerful and strong, living on pure fearlesness and survival instinct. Conquering insurmountable forces doing fucked up, hard, ass-breaking , and sometimes hazardous work at this place that my other co-workers cannot handle, only to look forward to seeing her before the day is through. I am proud to be so strong.Only she can destroy me.
does your reputation submarine you from attaining what you want?

I have noticed that another scorpio rising girl in my circle gets angry and sad and intense easily. I see her everyday, and I could feel her intensity on a daily basis. I know she always avenges herself, in a subtle manner. Only the offender could feel the bitterness. she reveals her feelings only to me (also a scorpio rising), but she appears to be cheerful everyday to other people. She could present herself as very cheerful and excited even when she is extremely hurt and sad.
I get angry easilyt, too, but the way I cover my anger is different from her. I apear rather cold, detached, and expressionless, definitely can't be cheerful when I am disburned inside.

How about you guys? Do you get angry easily? How do you cloak the emotion?

Apparently one of Scorpio's key words is "transformation", so I'm wondering how that manifests in your lives as Scorpio ascendants?

I am noticing a pattern in my life where my most meaningful relationships have been those where I have had a profoundly transformative effect on the other person. It's not intentional at all. I don't ever set out to challenge people or to inspire change in them, it seems to happen simply through my presence in one's sphere. And the friendships and relationships that seem to fizzle are those with people who are resistant to change or who can't face themselves.

What about you?

HI everyone I am an Aries Sun(barely march 21) Scorpio Rising and Cancer moon. My life is totally ruled by intense, passionate emotion. Does anyone else feel they are pulled so forcefully by the Scorpio ascendent that you wish you could be more of a realist?
I love having scorpio on the rise but i feel completely misunderstood most if not all of the time. Has anyone figured out how to balance this out?
Hello all my Scoripio brothers and sisters!! :) Lets chat.

Am I the only scorpio rising feeling this or does clinginess / neediness give you a gag reflex?
I am really having a hard time right now with a particular person. Feels like I am being smothered and I can't breathe. You know, like they are always nice and agree with everything you say?

Hi. I'm new to this website and this "tribe", but I wanted to ask you other Scorpio-risings a question:

Do any of you have particular problems with people (especially strangers) villianizing you for no real reason?

I have a lot of Scorpio in my chart (including the ascendant), and I find that I don't have to say or do much for certain people to automatically think the worst...

Anyone else?

Soul

Maybe I shouldn't post this topic here, but, I've thought that I'll ask fellow scorpio risers here.

Do you belive in soul ? In it's existance, it's capability to hold memories, emotions, mind in some unknown transcendental state ? Do you believe in afterlife ? I've recently red an article, which brought up arguments for non-existance of soul. Yet I'd like to know your opinions, as I'm a bit interested in that topic.

Link to the article: http://blogs.salon.com/0001561/stories/2002/10/30/doesTheSoulOrSpiritReallyExistAFollowup.html

Personally, I'm in the middle. A brain damage can change your personality, your memories, and such, and that would suggest that soul has no influence over those. Yet, a thought has passed my mind, that fate might cause you such damage to change your personality. Also, I find astrology as something as tool used to describe our souls. Maybe they exist, but not in such form that they carry various memories or emotions, just as something very primitive, something that is being molded as the journey of soul goes further. We lose our memories, our personality, just to taste the life from a different light, even if some kind of metaphysical form.

Scorpio Rising Overview

SCORPIO RISING--OVERVIEW

Mysterious, slow-moving, evolutionary, obscure, and determined Pluto rules the facades and external egos of all you with this sign rising at the time you were born. Above all else, you are strongwilled, consistent, and persistent as you go about handling all matters of consequence and importance to your daily affairs. You probably don't even know the meaning of the word "can't" because once you set your mind to do something, you will no matter how much time and energy may be required. You accomplish it -- or you want to know why it can't possibly be done.

However apparently gregarious, outgoing, and friendly you may appear on the surface, there are many things about yourself and your life which you do not and will not reveal to others. You are inclined to be secretive generally as you don't tend to trust others too easily or quickly. You seldom forget a wrong or slight from others and are not averse to "getting even" when you can find any opportunity to do so.

With this fixed (stable/resistent-to-change) sign rising, the height of you natives is variable; but most of you tend to be well below average to average; tall is rare. You often are a "boxy," roundishly, muscular type. You could be rather hefty, sometimes even a bit more than "pleasingly plump." Normally the head is of average length and often rather flat on top. The hair tends to be dark in color, thick, usually curly. It's not uncommon that there is an abundance of body hair.

The nose may be either aquiline or concave, and tends to fullness at the tip. Care should be taken of the skin as it tends to be quite oily. (Most of you are lucky to leave adolescence without taking some scars or acne marks with you into adult life.) The teeth may be short and could be spaced rather far apart.

The eyes may shine brilliantly, are very magnetic, dark as a rule, and round. The voice has a deep, strong tone and is compelling; others may comment that it is very "sexy." There is a preference for quality clothes and to care about the appearance, but little desire for ostentation (except to look "sexy"). There is a rather special manner about your walk; it seems to have a bounce or swing to it which makes it seem you are "wagging" an invisible tail; it might even be called seductive.

Your general character is quite complex as intellect and emotion, will and the desires fight a perpetual battle for control. The overall mentality may be extremely introspective, analytical, and intuitive. The dominant urge is to get to the root of everything that intrigues you. The memory typically is especially keen.

The emotions are quite intense and, in the final analysis, the most powerful force in the total makeup. However, they are often kept bottled up since you dislike, even fear, openly showing emotions that might smack of any personal weaknesses. Your emotions are your greatest strength but potentially also your most dangerous force when not kept in check.

Limitations and weaknesses are mainly those which result from lack of capacity for compromise. There can be extreme jealousy, innate suspicions, a pronounced tendency to harbor grievances and sometimes to be bitter and vindictive. While very critical of others, you never spare yourself from criticism either.

Since Scorpio is such a wiry sign, it gives you a strong constitution. However, because of your very accented determination it's entirely possible for you to drive yourself to the very limits of endurance, which could result in some type of collapse under acute emotional strain. Fortunately, your recuperative powers are very good--and rapid. Your life-pattern is very active, often combative, and usually quite suecessful--especially in the latter part of life. Important years of change often are the 27th, 36th, and the 63rd.

The main characteristics of a desirable nature and good for cultivation are expressed by such words as these: activity, energy, positiveness, fearlessness, eloquence, devotion, patience, ambition, willpower, and tenacity.

The most probable less-than-desirable characteristics for correction are denoted by these key words and terms: severity, callousness, stubbornness, bitter sarcasm, an overly-suspicious nature, spitefulness, vindictiveness, dogmatism, cruel shrewdness, rude bluntness, obsession with sexual matters, and being overly-passionate about nearly everything. All of these undesirable traits and inclinations either have been or can, in time, be improved upon, markedly corrected, or overcome totally by the conscientious and proper mental application of your outstandingly-positive qualities, and your determination and perseverance.
FIRST DECAN of SCORPIO Rising (00.00 - 10.00 degrees)

This Scorpio/PLUTO decan of Scorpio rising is, of course, the most typical. Very much of what was covered above applies fully, but there is more. The fixed nature of Scorpio gives you a tremendous amount of tenacity (staying power). Once you set out to accomplish anything, you will persist regardless of the obstacles until you finally succeed. Aiding this determination is the cardinal sub-influence of this first decan, which can help to supply you with the stamina, energy, and drive to persist very actively.

Of all with Scorpio rising, you are the one who is most private and secretive. You absolutely will not reveal anything about your personal life unless you expressly desire to do so. Actually, you may be too personally "self-contained" for your own good since others with whom you must relate may think you are covering up things which might be a threat to them. Remember that your own suspicions can arouse the suspicions of others. Work on learning to be a bit more open and trusting until you find a real reason not to be.

Your physical appearance typically inclines to darker skin and hair color than those with other decans of Scorpio rising. Eat sensibly or you could develop a weight problem, especially as the years pass. You truly like to maintain the status quo and adjust rather slowly to changes in your everyday life; therefore, you'd do well to strive for "regularity" in as many areas of your life as possible. In career/work/business, you might be especially successful if you become involved with some type of research or investigation. You may be expert at ferreting out anything that's hidden from normal view.

It's probable that you have a very accented libido which makes you (and others) very much aware of how sexy and sensual you appear. It's not uncommon for you to get rather personal, even gross attention from some others which you'd rather not have. If you dress too provocatively, you may be inviting situations which you could do without.
SECOND DECAN of SCORPIO Rising (10.00 - 20.00 degrees)

The important sub-influences of this Pisces/NEPTUNE decan can induce numerous rather interesting differences. Pisces tends to soften and refine both the physical features and the personality. While you still possess the strong will, determination, and drive characteristic of everyone with Scorpio rising, you are less inclined to come on as strong as others. Perhaps your motto for getting what you want in everyday situations actually is that old adage about walking softly but carrying a big stick.

You are better able to compromise and adjust since Pisces is a mutable sign. If you can't sell items for twenty-five cents each, you're perfectly willing to let them go at four for a dollar. Of all with Scorpio ascending, you well may be the one most artistically inclined. You could earn your living in the art field and/or at least be highly appreciative of art. Music and dance may have a very special appeal. Surely you will dabble in painting in some form or other.

You are fortunate to have the assistance of the fixed nature of this decan (as well as Scorpio/Pluto), as it helps you avoid being as "wishy-washy" as Pisces alone can be. While you may not be quite as secretive as your first-decan friends, you still very much appreciate your privacy. Part of this is the result of the twelfth-house influence (secrets/limitations), which also may cause you to have to cope with additional delays and problems personally; but you can and normally do work most of them out.

With the Neptune influence, it's probable you have an affinity for water, meaning you might have a fondness for working on or near the sea or other large bodies of water. (Or, you might deal with liquids or liquid assets.) Swimming might be your favorite sports activity. Neptune can be very nice to you appearance-wise.
THIRD DECAN of SCORPIO Rising (20.00 - 30.00 degrees)

The sub-influence of this Cancer/MOON decan can induce some quite exciting and interesting characteristics. Cancer -- natural ruler of the fourth house of home, family, and security -- can cause you to be very much attached emotionally to family members. Whether for better or worse, they likely had (will have) a strong influence on the type of personality you develop.

Whether male or female, you're likely to inherit some of your mother's features which, in many instances, may not be nearly so evident until middle age or later. You will want to and should, if possible, own your own home. However, this may become a reality only after numerous changes of residence in your early years.

Appearance-wise, nearly all parts of your body tend to much roundness, even more than might already be indicated with Scorpio rising. The mutable (flexible) nature of this decan can be a blessing because it assits in modifying the sometimes too-fixed nature of Scorpio. The Moon's sub-influence can cause many personality changes and accent your emotional state so much that you may swing between pronounced emotional highs and lows.

You are very sensitive to your environment and must do all you can to select a positive and happy one if you hope to eliminate, or even minimize, those terrible emotional lows. Try to select a bright and cheerful place to live and work, as well as positive and contented friends and close associates. Restlessness may be so accented that you find it next to impossible to be still for very long.

Work on learning to relax more often. This tendency to be restless can manifest itself not only in physical movements, but also in a desire to roam geographically, career wise and otherwise. Hopefully, you will learn early enough the importance of this: "A rolling stone gathers no moss."

Ascendant in Scorpio, Descendant in Taurus

With Scorpio rising, you may exude a very charismatic and intense demeanor. Others may find you magnetic, mysterious, passionate and alluring. The source of your charisma is your inner strength and resolute personality. Your intensity is derived from your personal command and earnestness. Frequently, you're reticent and secretive because you don't think that others will accept your ideas or actions. You tend to watch people closely, and you have good perceptions regarding other people's motives. You generally like to be left alone to live your life as you please and you do not tolerate anyone's intrusion into your private life. Fiercely devoted to your personal convictions, you adhere to a belief system that you will develop through your life experiences. Scorpio rising seldom lacks in ambition. Many with this rising sign recognize their talents and are dedicated to accomplishing their goals with fixity of purpose.

Taurus on your descendant makes you desirous of sensual and earthy personalities who are comfortable with themselves. Taurus personalities generally enjoy pleasure, ease, and luxury. Taurus is the most sensual sign in the zodiac, and many are just flat out sexy. The Taurus beauty archetype is generally a very well shaped body that is round and curvy in women and muscular yet lean in men. Their physical allure can be considerable, and they project a "touch me" vibe that you will definitely notice. Taurus loves to be held and touched but will not settle for just anyone. Taurus individuals like quality, comfort and substance. Taurus individuals generally have an unfettered and flowing sensuality, but only after they've chosen a special someone whom they trust. The physical attraction between the two of you can be quite strong, and this magnetism is probably what makes both of you wait it out until trust is established.

Trust. Yes, both of you need plenty of that in a relationship. In fact, the two of you seem to innately mistrust each other on first meeting and only, slowly, over time do you develop a sense of trust with each other. Luckily, both of you are patient enough to wait it out. Patience. Yes, it's a virtue you both have, but here's where you differ greatly. Scorpio knows how to wait for the right time, but seldom is he or she happy about it, and can be quite bitter during the wait. Taurus is genuinely patient and complacent about waiting for better timing. The problem for Scorpio is that waiting makes Scorpio insecure, while Taurus is innately calm.

Another problem, and it's a big one, is that both of you are stubborn. Both of you can be very resentful and vindictive when you don't get your way. Subsequently, compromise is needed. And herein lies yet another problem. Scorpio hates to compromise. As a Scorpio, once told me, "I don't compromise, I look for win-win situations." This is a great attitude to have in the business world, but in personal relationships where emotions and all kinds of irrational impulses exist, how do you define win-win? Scorpio can probably figure out something, and as long as Taurus sees a recognizable winning you're set. However, when Taureans feels as though you're benefiting and they're not, then look out. Unrelenting antagonism and a fierce counter attack will occur. Yes, that cute, sweet, cuddly and squeezable Taurus can truly be a raging bull when they get angry, and they will come looking for what is owed them; and in the process you may end up having a cow.

Many great things can come form this combination, if you let it. But the two of you have to be very honest and frank in your dealings with each other. The two of you can certainly handle the bare truth and Taurus is a mighty strong sign that won't falter at the sight of a challenge or struggle. Subsequently, keep the dealings above the table and clearly outline each other's personal gains. You can both truly compliment each other. Taurus provides endurance, loyalty and tenacity of purpose, while Scorpio delivers commitment, thoroughness and fortitude. With this pairing, in time, you'll see Scorpio rising becoming more calm and permissive, while the Taurus partner becomes more subtle and objective.

My pluto conjunts my libra rising sign and is in my first house. My pluto conjuncts mars and several other planets, so needless to say it is extremely strong in my chart, and I notice several scorpionic tendencies that really do not blend with my libra rising at all. In fact there is plenty of inner turmoil, constantly in fact. Any advice or insight you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well not quite like that, but in my life time I have experienced jobs where co-workers felt that I was "getting in their face" or "raising my voice". I once was a cook for a BBQ service when we had a rush of people come in and I had three people to help , both were first day workers and the other was an assistant manager. I was in charge while the assistant handled the customers. As things became busy the new workers began to make stupid mistakes, giving food to the wrong people, dishing the wrong food on the plate, and at one point the new guy accused me of making the mistake that I watched him do with my own eyes. Of course this could not continue or we would be swamped with angry customers so I took the new guy asside and as gently as I could told him his precise duty, what needs to be done, and if he has any problems come to me. The assistant manager overheard my conversation and promptly called the owner and within 15 min the owner was in the kitchen when he sent me home and later called to inform me that I was fired.
Scorpio rising has an intense way about them that intimidates others and may arrouse hurt feelings, can anyone recall a situation when they had a problem in the work place or better yet was fired on the spot?

Ruling Planet in the houses

Thought it would be interesting for us to discuss our ascendant's ruling planet's placement (in the houses) , and whether you've lead the life of typical pluto in x house.
Below's a description of Pluto's placement in the 12 houses:

Pluto in 1st House

*You are an intense person, inclined to be wholeheartedly and passionately involved in whatever your current interest is. You easily go to extremes and you make more moderate, easy-going souls feel uncomfortable.

You may have unusual charisma and also be profoundly influenced by powerful, charismatic figures whom you model yourself after. Learning to use personal power appropriately is an issue for you. Negatively, you can be manipulative and obsessed with personal aggrandizement. Positively, you can be a potent force for change, growth, and healing in the world.

#Your personality often initiates changes along your spiritual path. Thus it is important for you to consider how you appear to others, as their response is a key to understanding the transitions in your life. For example, if other people become agitated or angry each time you make a change, you may be coming on too strong for the situation, or at least too strong for those individuals. On the other hand, if your intervention brings calm to difficult situations, you can figure that you are showing compassion while also handling the situation itself.

^Pluto's energy in your 1st House brings power issues into your life at an early age. Whether you were involved in a family situation which was somewhat overwhelming or if you had experiences which lead to feelings of abandonment, you've probably learned to distrust others and may even distrust yourself. You are actually quite aware of what is happening beneath the surface, but you may not let many people know that you have this awareness. A sensitive person will be able to tell, and may even support your awareness, unless they have something to hide. To truly express your personal power, you may first have to do some work within yourself addressing your issues which stem from guilt, shame or disappointment. If you allow these negative feelings to hang on, they undermine your power and confidence. But once you've released yourself, the healing process itself empowers you to make changes which can be awe-inspiring. You need to feel that you have control over your own life, and that there is no one who can take that power from you, but first you have to convince yourself that this is true through examining your motivations and desires. If these stem from hopeful, healing feelings, there may be little that can stop you from creating transformation and regeneration within yourself and the world around you.

Pluto in 2nd House

*You are likely to have a fixation on money, wealth, and material resources. You may totally renounce material desires and ownership, or become obsessed with having, owning, and accumulating. Your attitudes towards owning, keeping, and sharing will undergo major changes in your lifetime, and your fortunes are likely to run very hot or very cold.

#Issues of self-esteem may push you toward transformations in your life. Material success can lift you out of material poverty, and it may improve your sense of self-worth, but it is your understanding of the flow of spiritual energy that has the biggest impact on your spiritual development in the long run.

^Pluto's energy in your 2nd House brings control issues into the realm of personal finances. It is here that you may experience great challenges, and you may have some extreme experiences learning about the real nature of money and materiality. You can attract resources through working in fields which involve transformation, healing and renovation, and may revitalize your own worth by allowing your needs to be in charge of your own money. You can share but may not want to share everything. That's okay, as long as you're honest about it!

Pluto in 3rd House

*You have a probing, penetrating mind and are highly analytical and critical in your thinking. Work that involves research, investigating mysteries or hidden causes, or deep study and analysis suits you very well.

You are also a convincing speaker, bringing others around to your own point of view by the intensity of your convictions.

#Your concern for siblings and peers is a strong force for spiritual change. You may be strongly influenced by what they say and do, and through experience you learn how your will power engages in the exchange. Thus you find that by watching and listening, you learn how other people use their power. Then you can exert your own will more consistently and compassionately.

^The power of your thoughts determines your experience of life. Pluto's energy in your 3rd House prompts you to transform your thinking. You must learn to trust your own intelligence, and to develop your mind in such a way that will allow you to experience an understanding of life at core levels. You ask questions, although many are never verbalized. They just drive you, like a relentless taskmaster, to look beneath the surface. You can be overcome by compulsive thought patterns, and when you do, you can find it difficult to release yourself from them. These compulsions can be a power drain, especially if they reach the obsessive level. Take the time to listen to your own thoughts. Do they offer self-confirming messages or destructive mutterings? Once you find a way to use your mind to heal your life, you will know the power you've been seeking.

Pluto in 4th House

*There was much that was hidden or secret in your childhood home, and you absorbed a sense of shame or a feeling that you need to hide and protect who you are from others. One of your parents had an especially intense bond to you and profoundly influenced you, perhaps dominated or controlled you in subtle ways. Unlocking the secrets of the past, and learning to be intimate and close to others without controlling or being controlled are issues for you.

#Change comes from deep within your being. The inner voice guides you - and not always in calm, quiet ways. You tend to act only when you are certain that you can - or must. Thus you sometimes have stored up enough energy to explode like a volcano. To be more compassionate, both to yourself and toward others, you gradually learn to exert your will sooner so that you no longer explode out of control. Power issues in childhood caused you to develop some strange, possibly conflicting core beliefs. As you gain personal strength, you are able to challenge these ideas and resolve them to suit your own needs and desire for transformation.

^You learned about power from your parents and may have felt that one parent had a very strong hold on your life. They still may. But all the while, you may have found yourself resisting their control, or trying to undermine it. You tested limits. You knew just how far to push without getting the rug pulled from beneath your feet. Or did you? Now that you have grown to be a woman, you may have difficulty feeling that your foundation is ever stable enough. You know deep within yourself that you needed to destroy the unfitting or unfair images you had of your family, their traditions or their false identities. You may also feel some guilt that you cannot fully identify. This is the guilt your soul recalls. It may not be entirely your own. It may be something you felt as early as the time you spend in your mother's womb. It might be something from another lifetime that you remember at a cellular level, a feeling that haunts you when you are alone. Let it go. Find yourself. Step into your power and allow yourself to be healed. Then, and only then, will you finally feel that you've found home.

Pluto in 5th House

*You have very strong creative forces and whatever you do, you want to do to the fullest. In love and romance, you get totally, passionately, even obsessively involved. In other forms of creative release and self-expression, also, you are very driven and you have a deep need to prove yourself. Your desire for personal recognition is compelling, and if you do not achieve creative success, you may try to force your children to fulfill your dreams for you.

#You find the appropriate mechanism for change by engaging wholeheartedly in creative efforts. When you do this, the act itself impels you toward transformation. Others may see changes in you before you are fully aware of them yourself.

^Your creative efforts are an important element in your life. Pluto's energy in your 5th House drive you to reach into your soul and find your creative spirit. Then, you must trust yourself enough to exercise this creativity. It heals you. It is the key to creating life on your own terms. You may also discover that your approach to children is a key factor in your own self respect. When you can look at a child and see the wonder, feel the hope and desire to be a catalyst for his or her own creativity without trying to shape him or her into the image you want them to be, you're allowing this force to work positively. But if you see your children as little pieces of clay you can mold however you wish, you may be sorely disappointed when they destroy your creation when they reach adolescence or adulthood. Perhaps this struggle results from your own childhood experience. You've heard about the inner child? Well your little girl has always been powerful, but she may not know what to do with that power. It's up to you to show her.

Pluto in 6th House

*You can become obsessed with your health, self-improvement and personal development. The psychological elements of disease interest you, and you may endlessly psychoanalyze yourself and others.

Also, you may work compulsively and exhaust yourself through overwork. You can be a tyrant with co-workers, and it may be easier for you to work in solitude.

#When you are busiest, you are also the most capable of transformation. Serving others opens you to spiritual development, and working for yourself positions you on a progressive path. Both are essential to effect positive change in your life. You develop the capacity for change by using your will to push through difficult situations in the work environment, or health problems.

^Pluto's energy in your 6th House prompts you to unlock the power you have to alter and transform your own life through self-improvement. The quality of your life depends upon the way you handle experiences which may seem to be beyond your control, like your genetic heritage, or an illness, or the society within which you live. Taking care of your health through finding the root of real healing power in your life is one of the most crucial factors you must face. Completely surrendering control of your life to the will and direction of others will leave you feeling disconnected to yourself. You can find the right healers, helpers and supporters, but first you must acknowledge the part you play in these processes.

Pluto in 7th House

*Emotional intensity, compulsive attraction, and a sense of fate or destiny characterize your one-to-one relationships. It's as if you simply cannot have light, superficial relationships; they are inevitably profound, intense experiences which reveal your depths to you. You may be drawn to powerful, charismatic, willful people that challenge, thwart, and ultimately evoke your own power and strengths. Your marriage is likely to be the arena for your greatest growth.

#Your keen awareness of others is integral to how you make changes. When you focus on yourself, you can get stuck, but when you focus on significant people in your life, your energy flows more smoothly. You find the juice of compassion in the exchange of energy with others. Then you handle changes with greater equanimity.

^Pluto's energy in your 7th House brings direct power struggles within cooperative relationships and partnerships. You may resist the idea of a functional partnership because you do not want to give up control. Or you may attract a partner who overwhelms you with his power when you do not trust your own ability to direct your life. You cannot escape power issues. One way or another, you must realize that you really do have the power to direct your own life and to reflect your power in a positive sense. Until you finally exercise that power, you can be caught in an endless game of transforming yourself to fit your partner's needs or finding that you are never what you want to be. Try looking in the mirror. The woman looking back at you is important.

Pluto in 8th House

*You are a person of great depth and have a deep interest in the hidden or darker side of life. Issues and experiences others shun, you are drawn to and compelled to examine. The use and misuse of personal, social, and political power intrigues you. Death is also an area you are fascinated with and may explore in depth. You may have many experiences in which you are forced to burn your bridges and start over again.

#One change begets another in your life. You see transformation as a way of life, not an isolated event. Often you feel changes coming long before any outward signs are visible. You dwell in the underworld of the mind. Without training you are susceptible to the energies of people around you, and you fall under their spells easily. With training you can cast your own spells, and certainly you can use your power to protect yourself. You have tremendous endurance - your ability to keep going means that you can chart a spiritual path and make definite progress. You tend to be around when traumatic events happen to other people, and you may have your own share of difficulties. These experiences place you in the ideal spot to help others, as you know how they feel and you know just how to lift their spirits.

^Pluto's energy in your 8th House does not necessarily attract excessive power struggles with your partner, but you certainly will be alert to that possibility! You may have a very keen sense concerning your own sexuality, and exploring the depths of your sexual needs can allow your power to emerge more fully. In financial matters, whether or not there are problems largely depends upon your ability to be honest with yourself and your partner about what you need and expect in this arena. You can be an excellent money manager, and with a partner whose vision and values support your own, can create a strong power base. But if you feel threatened by your partner or the way he uses his resources, you're probably better off completely extracting your resources from his until you are clear about your mutual goals.

Pluto in 9th House

*You have strong philosophical views and there are times in your life when you passionately crusade for a cause that you deem noble and of utmost importance. Although your intentions are good, you are not as objective as you think you are, and your views are more colored by personal experiences and concerns than you realize. Nevertheless, you can also be instrumental in bringing about positive change if you can avoid being dogmatic. Also, you may radically change or revise your own personal beliefs, even your most cherished convictions, many times during your life.

#As you pursue your transcendent values, you will find that death has no hold on you. You take the shaman's path by going through the darkness. You may feel that you have succumbed to sexual seduction in the past, but don't beat yourself up over that. Sexual energy is a source of powerful devotion and motivation. As you gain understanding of the values that matter most to you, you will find that ecstasy, while beginning in a sexual expression, actually reaches spiritual heights that erase the barriers of the body. As a shaman you are able to lift others out of their physical death experiences into the healing light you understand as Spirit. You sense the power of transcendence in yourself and others. You move from learning about transformation within yourself to healing and helping others who must experience rapid, dramatic changes.

^You learn about power through your spiritual and religious teaching with Pluto in the 9th House. Your need to connect to the Power of the Universal Mind is behind many of your deepest aspirations. You will be dissatisfied if you give your spiritual power to another human being. It belongs to you and to the direction of the Teacher within your higher consciousness. But it's tempting to hold onto religious ideals with a fervent dedication which is almost impossible to release. By separating your emotional attachment to your beliefs from the truth of your spiritual awareness, you will become empowered at the highest level.

Pluto in 10th House

*You have a powerful sense of destiny and may be unusually, even ruthlessly, ambitious. There is a very driven, compulsive quality to the way you pursue your career or other important life goals, which is likely to win you both staunch admirers and vigorous opponents.

There is a very "radical" side to you, and you may want to remake or change the world in some significant way. Depending on other astrological factors in your chart and your own decisions, you can be either very destructive or a powerful force for healing and positive change in the world.

#Change begins for you when you first feel the tug of ambition - you want something more or better. As you deal with transformation, your goal-oriented behavior becomes spiritual aspiration rather than simple material seeking.

^With Pluto in your 10th House achieving a sense of power can definitely be among your ambitions. This can be a highly creative position for Pluto, since exercising your ability to bring about transformational change and healing through your career path can be quite a challenge. Even if you decide not to follow a career path, you can still be a powerful force in your family and may even play an influential matriarchal role as you mature. However, you're likely to run into power issues with others too, since as you become more adept at moving through the chain of command your presence and strength can attract power struggles with others. This is not the only option, since you may also find that you enjoy rubbing shoulders with the movers and shakers. After all, that's where you belong! But before you can achieve the levels of success you deeply desire, you may have to address buried resentments, guilt or shame which have their origins in your past. In essence, you can become a vessel for regeneration and healing, and your own wounds may be the keys to your power to influence change in the lives of others.

Pluto in 11th House

*You may have a deep aversion to groups, associations, clubs, or organizations of any kind. Any such group you become involved in is likely to be either for intense personal growth, change, and healing, or centered around social change and revising society in some manner.

#Circumstances impel you to change, ready or not. Sometimes you feel you must listen to a lot of other people's dreams and follow them. It is important to weigh their urgings against the inner voice of your own desire.

^With Pluto in your 11th House, you may meet many of your power issues within the social sphere, particularly around special interest groups or when dealing with political processes. You're not the women who enjoys sitting on the sidelines if you're part of a group, especially if something could be done more effectively. If you have not developed a strong sense of your own ideals and beliefs you can fall under the influence of others who would usurp your power in order to boost their own. But once you've awakened to your own ideals, drives and directives, you can be a highly influential leader and instigator of social change. The extent of your efforts depends upon you and the choices you make for yourself.

Pluto in 12th House

*You have a deep interest in secrets, the underworld or unconscious, and anything hidden and mysterious. Psychoanalysis, investigating your dreams, and other methods of uncovering secrets are very interesting to you. You may be exceptionally perceptive intuitively or psychically. Your emotions and subconscious energies are complex, and periodic transformations and personal crises are sprinkled liberally throughout your lifetime.

#Death has played a large part in creating doubt about your abilities. Use private time to examine your present knowledge and skills, and you may find that confidence replaces doubt. You need the quiet moments to build your power.

^Since you have Pluto in your 12th House you may be tempted to repress your emotions, particularly those which have to do with those deep needs which spring from the shadowy side of yourself. You may even have problems with depression or addictive behaviors which create a kind of emotional trap until you learn to delve into the depths of your being and clean out the ghosts and dragons from your past which still haunt your dreams. Old resentments can also act like a potion which poisons your imagination and undermines your ability to trust your inner self. Once you've conquered your own demons, you may feel driven to help others confront their own, and can become an extremely effective healer.

Taurus on the Descendant / 7th House

Since we're all Scorpio Risings here, I thought it would make for an interesting conversation to discuss our views on, and feelings for Taureans, our so-called natural partners. Perhaps our Sun sign can be mentioned as well, as that would come in to the picture in terms of compatability, but I'm just generally curious about your views of them :-)

I've had 3 Taurus men in my life, and although nothing too serious ever evolved with any of them (for various reasons), I feel this sort of "natural" attraction to them. They all had a calming effect on me, as I'm a Sag Sun with Moon, Venus, Uranus and Ascendant in Scopio. They had this inner calmness that I completely lack, and they were very thick skinned, a quality I also lack. Nothing would ever knock them off their feet, which I found so admirable, as I'm can get knocked down over close to nothing. In their company I just felt so at peace with everything. Nothing really disturbed me as much as it used to when I had a Taurus by my side. I found it to be a rare and profound feeling.

However, although Taurus and Sagittarius - or fire and earth, if you wil - might make for an exciting match, it proved not to be a very durable one. When it all came down to it, we were just too different to ever really "click" with one another. There was always some kind of gap between me and them, that we weren't able to overcome. Perhaps it was the oppositions (the Sun-Venus oppositions went both ways in all 3 cases!), I don't know... I like Taurureans though - I love their warmth, their steadiness, their dry sense of humor, their "simplemindedness", their comprehension of reality. I've never met a Taurus I didn't like!

Any difference between scorpio sun and scorpio rising?

Can anyone explain the difference between the two in regards to behaviour, attitudes, personalities, etc.? I'm trying to establish a good relationship with a scorpio sun and am wondering how my scorpio rising matches with his scorpio sun re: friendship expectations?

Scorpionic vanity

Well hello dear "seem-to-be-my-copies" scorpio risings

It feels so good to have found this tribe, it's like coming back home where everyone uderstands me! Oh the joy!
I have been browsing the whole tribe for about a week and after some procrastinating finally registered!
But I will stop rabbiting on just for the sake of it, you have all hear the above about 9987 times? Or just about...
Anyway, what intrigues me is the immense vanity of Scorps, all the solar ones and rising ones. It seems no other sign really feels so unique and mysterious and what not. You read it everywhere- Scorpios rule, Scorpios rock!, we're the bestest of best, etc.
I myself am a solar Cap, Scorp rising, Uranus first house, Gem moon, and I have these moments myself, like I have this Scorpionic appearance, eyes, attitude and all the works and who's more! Then I have a sober moment and have to laugh at myself, sooooooooo bloody conceited, hehe. May be Mars in Leo, Mr. Ego...
Any of you feel like that?
