We had a major leak fixed where it floods even in minor storms.
SHFL was built so that the foundation and the floor are one and the same...The roofers hired by the landlord who put on the faulty new roof and promised to show up and fix it never came, so we have a really bad area in our bedroom where the ceiling leaks and so Flakey's idea was to cut a hole in the ceiling so that the water does not pool up and cause the whole ceiling to collapse...we have a gigantic tub underneath the hole and the tub is on a flat dolly so we can move it somewhere to empty it out...I think it is kinda nutso..but maybe it is the only thing we can do. I can't believe that there is no way we could temporarily patch the roof, but I am told that there isn't. Since the leak is very close to our bed, I think we ought to move the bed..possible onto the stage, which is where we are planning on staying...

I will not go into the other parts of the structure that give us worry I will stop there...

We have boarded up the windows and have tried to secure stuff that could become projectiles for the most part.

I have made a gigantic pile of all my favorite belongings...I have my sock monkey collection in a sort of fortress that I hope holds up..I probably need to spend the rest of the day putting stuff in cupboards and whatnot just so it isn't AS exposed..I really don't know what will and will not hold up.

I am pretty concerned about all the stinking pecan trees. A few of them look downright ominous.

I made it back to Katy last night, wow, bad traffic. My girlfriend left for Austin this morning to attend some music festival. Got a new chainsaw Wed and hoping the pine tree in front of the house doesn't come crashing down. Oh well, the wind isn't suposed to be that bad in this area. Plenty of room if any one needs it
