After many years, my daughter has left NYC and moved west. my husband and I aren't done with the city yet.
We're planning a vacation the week of December 11-15, and need a place to stay. New York dancers, can you find me a place that is relatively cheap and has private bath? Hotel, B&B? I'll write Rocky, as well-I've usually gotten together with her when I'm in town, but I think she's going to be in Cairo that week. Leo house contact info would be great! And I don't mind Brooklyn-there's a pub in Red Hook he loves. And Astoria totally rocks.
Mostly: inexpensive and easy to get to and from.
Thank-you
Kitty

Re: New York Lodging
Thu, September 13, 2007 - 7:47 AMI stayed with friends on my recent trip, so I don't have any firsthand info, but people staying at Leo House, which I believe is a Catholic-run rooming house (?), gave very good reviews. I think that a private room ran about $70/night, not sure if it had a bath or not.
Looks like they don't have a site, but there is contact info & some discussion here...
