We have lots of time to figure all the details out....But first impulse tells me to pitch tent and hold hoop high.....

Mostly we put people up in our houses or they camp in tents. It's like a big old camp out! Way fun.

Another group of us are putting together a Hoop Convergence next year in NC also. We are going to bring in hoop teachers from all over and teach specialties. I am going to be teaching handwork I think, how to dance with your hands in pretty ways so that you don't have chicken arms. (I know you've seen chicken arms. Elbows in at the waist, hands sticking straight out. The (hen) bane of hooping. Hee hee hee...)

We already have several really good hoop teachers signed on and we're going to do workshops on costuming, fire, theory, footwork. handwork, theater performance and everything else we can think about. It will be similar to the other retreat in that we'll put people up so the only expenses will be eating and hooping. Plus we'll have a Hooper's Ball and a big old covered dish one night and a fire another night. Check it out:
