Ok... There must be 100 Taqueria's within a 5 mile radius of our neighborhood. What's you favorite and why?

My favorite is Nikko's Cafe which is on El Camino near Whipple. They are a bit more expensive than most, but their grilled burritos are the best in town. Their ingredients are always fresh and their meat is top quality. Their chicken and mushroom burrito is my favorite.

I like Nikko's a lot too, especially the little old couple who run the place. They don't have the fastest service but the food is really good and I like supporting a locally owned business.

I vote for Chavez Meat Market right down the street on Arguello. Or a close second is La Azteca down by McDonalds and Harry's HOfbrau (which is excellent too!). I like Chavez because they are fresh and fast and sell the BEST grilling meat in town (try their Arrachata~marinated steak that is really thin and wrap it in a corn tortilla~YUM!)

La Azteca is good for their Azteca burrito~served with melted cheese on top and olives and peppers~ YUMO!

Naranjos on Broadway across from City Pub was a Top Ten in Sunset Magazine a while back. El Meta on Harbour and 101 is outstanding as well.

I tried Naranjo's on my way home once...the burrito al pastor was almost inedible. not like Health-Department inedible, just it-tasted-really-bad inedible.

I do recommend the taqueria on Broadway across from the train station and next to the Japanese place, and the taqueria on Broadway at ECR next to Savada-Adamich opticians.

I've never ventured Nikko's, I'll have to try it out.

    - Taqueria Mi Ranchito
    660 Laurel Street
    San Carlos CA 94070
We try different ones, but we keep going back there.
Our favorites, burritos and tostada salad.

    - La Azteca (Near Pine)
    1531 Main St
    Redwood City, CA 94063
Its good but it's a bit hard to get to when you want food fast.

My vote would also go to La Azteca

I admid, I haven't lived in RWC for years, but this was always my favorite. The fattest burritos using quality ingredients for a great price. Plus the little connected market made it easy to do shopping and get a great meal at the same time.
