Soon-to-be new mom

topic posted Sun, July 17, 2005 - 11:09 PM by  Stephanie
I'm happy to announce that I'll be having my first baby in early February. I'm also a little embarassed that I don't know more of my neighbors. I'm wondering if there are any other new moms in the neighborhood or parent groups that I could connect with.
Thanks!

    Hi Stephanie~

I'm sure RWC park & Rec can put you in touch with a mom's club. I have older boys (4 and 8) so on that part I am a little out of the loop. Which ever hospital you deliver at can also give you a heads up on a mom's club around here. I think San Carlos and Belmont have them.

There is a co-op in Belmont that you can join when your baby is 9 months old that a lot of my friends took/take their kids to. It's called Little Hands and you can find them in the phone book. If you have any trouble, let me know and I'll get the number from one of my friends.

Let us know when the baby comes and what you have named it!

    Hi Stephanie,
We will be having our 3rd child in late Feb. not exactly new parents at this point, but still excited. I work at www.BabyCenter.com and can recommend it for resources for new parents.
We're on E Street at Lenolt, with the kid's play structure in the front yard. Stop by and say hello.

    Stephanie:

Just signed up on thie forum....We are located on D Street and I just read your email. I am very active in the Redwood City Mothers Club as well as the Palo Alto/Menlo Park club. Both clubs offer, meetings for parents, playdates, new moms groups, clubs like scrapbooking, book club, etc. Both are great if you are going to be a mom and just have questions. Both offer newsletters each month with some great information about parenting, etc. They also offer meals to new moms! Take advantage of it. Its a great way to meet moms and get lots of questions answered that you may have about your new baby.

    Best of luck,

    Tammy
