Just an FYI, there has been a rash of robberies in the neighborhood (I think at least 4 in ours and more around RWC). They are after small electronics (digital cameras, ipods, laptops, portable cd players), jewlery, and credit cards. They have broken windows to get in and also come in through open windows. PLEASE let your nieghbors know if they are not members of the tribe, so everyone can be aware and stay safe.

Re: Robberies in our neighborhood
Thu, July 6, 2006 - 2:46 PMYeah... one of our cars was broken into sometime late on the 4th of July.
We were also the victims of a construction robbery last summer and lost a lot of tools and such.
It's pretty disheartening given that we know many of our neighbors and almost everyone that I've met in the neighborhood seems friendly, respectful, and trustworthy.

Re: Robberies in our neighborhood
Sat, October 7, 2006 - 12:42 PMThere seems to be a bunch of vandalism going on lately too.
Last night my neighbor's truck (B Street) had it's tires slashed and windows broken. He seems to think it was in retaliation for his witnessing and reporting of someone else's car being vandalized (Arguello) last week. He said he saw 6-7 teenagers vandalizing several vehicles between the hours of 4am-5am. The cops arrived and the teens took off running. Apparently they saw that he saw them. My neighbor gave a report to the police and the police said that any vandalism or robbery, no matter how small, should be reported. The more reports they get, the more they step up their patrols of the area.
Just wanted to let people know so that they can keep their eyes open and investigate those noises in the wee hours of the morning.
