So I have an idea of a possible outdoor space for our winter meetings.. and it would be free. There is a great park near downtown Sacramento right off Highway 50 at 6th and U streets called "Southside Park." They have two large tennis courts with nightime lights.
I'm thinking that if it's not raining.. and people don't mind the cool weather.. there probably isn't a lot of tennis playing going on at 6pm on Fridays.. so this could be a free option. I've actually played tennis on these courts before.. and the lights are fantastic.
Besides.. the weather really hasn't gotten too chilly yet.. and I do enjoy hooping in crisp weather.
Let me know what you think.. and if you all are into it.. we can try it for our November meeting.
The tennis courts are right off of 6th street next to the playground. Here is a link to the city's map.

i hope to make it this month again
the park looks like a great idea, and we could always go across the street and under the freeway for shelter if it rains....

Fri, November 2, 2007 - 6:17 PMWhere there's a hoop, there's a way!
I am totally lovin all the creative ideas for spaces to spin that are flowing.
So my schedule is getting rather cloudy again, as I'm changing jobs here soon & I'm not sure what I will be doing from day to day. I am totally bogged down with remodeling work up here too (gosh this sounds like a huge list of excuses!0 sooooooo, I am not sure whether I will be attending. You guys know I will always put my best effort into trying though.

So as the meet date gets closer I will update yall' on my status k?

Re: Possible Outdoor Space for November
Mon, November 5, 2007 - 9:02 PMHi Andi!
The outdoor space sounds good! Also, my friend lives in an apartment complex with a "rec room" which she thinks we could have free access too. It's near the college. So that could be an alternative to our outdoor space, if it's raining or something. She said she'd look into it for me.
I won't be able to make it this Friday, however. I'm sad :( We've got plans in Tahoe.
Cheers! Leah
