Re: hooping classes in Sacramento area?
Mon, November 12, 2007 - 2:57 PMHi Jenna. I don't know of any formal classes in Sacramento.. but, we are very close to San Francisco and there is a thriving hooping community there. Hoop Girl, aka Christabel Zamor, offers regular classes. Check out her class schedule here: www.hoopgirl.com/index.php
Also, there are a lot of great hooping instructional videos you might consider including some by Hoop Girl (available at her website above) and one by Body Hoops instructor, Diana Lopez. available here: www.bodyhoops.com/shop.htm
Just being a part of the hooping and hooping videos tribes can help get you inspired and help answer questions when you're trying to learn new tricks. Once you're actually here in Sacramento, we have a fantastic teacher in Joy. She's an amazing hooper and simply an inspiring person. She's always willing to offer suggestions and give tips on learning new things.
Hope this helps.. and we look forward to spinning with you. -

Tue, November 13, 2007 - 9:50 PMHi Jenna,
Congrats on your move to the Sacramento area! I just moved away from there & I must say you are just in time to find a great hoop community developing. For a long time all our inspiration & access to hooping came from the SF bay area.
As Andi said, if you are willing to travel to the city, Hoopgirl offers great workshops & courses for all levels. On the other hand I offer private lessons & can come to the Sacramento area to do the lesson. Shoot a message on over if you're interested & I will be happy to give you more info.
I do attend the tribe meets when I can make it down & look forward to meeting you & hooping with you in the near future. :)

Re: hooping classes in Sacramento area?
Tue, January 29, 2008 - 11:01 AMyay! I'll be there! I'm new to hooping and can't wait to learn! When I got my hoop i could hardly even keep it going, now I can spin it for about 40 minutes non-stop. I'm ready to learn more!
