This months topic: Protocol

The Leather Community has many rules and guidelines that folks are
generally expected to follow; a lot of it has traditionally been derived
from "military customs and courtesies." There are some seriously useful
aspects to understanding protocol and its uses in our leather community
as it is evolving from the foundations laid by our forefathers and
foremothers.This class will help explain why protocol exists in the
leather community and about some of the framework and justifications for
that protocol.


ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Will Hutchison is 60 years old, lives in Bakersfield
with his partner of 30 years and presently holds the title of Northern
California Leather Sir. He came to the leather community by way of the
rodeo circuit but has been doing kinky shit for 30+ years off and on. He
thinks his outlook is true to the spirit of what we call "Old Guard" but,
you may be a little surprised at some of his attitudes. He has three
leather-cowboy boys to whom he is formally "Daddy." Though none live,
with him, he is able to spend a good amount of time with them, especially
at rodeos and leather events. He has been a judge at the Sacramento Gay
Rodeo two times and has a very warm feeling for the city and its kinky
and cowboy community


After the class, those that want to socialize and/or get a little
one-on-one time, we'll be going to The Mercantile Saloon down the street
at 20th & L Street, walking distance from the theater.
