I just posted this on the chakra tribe and thought it would be a good one for Sacred Centers...
I try to do a visualization to balance my chakras in the morning several times a week. I most often do it while I'm still in bed which is fine but I find that visualizing the vertical connection from earth to heaven is a little more difficult when I'm horizontal as opposed to seated. I start with a grounding cord that is connected to the base of my spine and travels straight down to the center of the earth. I send all non-productive, chaotic energy down the grounding cord so it is taken away from me and absorbed in a healthy way by the earth. Then I visualize roots emanating from Chakra 1, also at the base of the spine, down my legs and out to the earth through the dirt and around rocks and other roots. This provides a very stable base and allows me to draw the creative energy up from the earth that I need to do my own creating.
When the energy hits Chakra 1, I meditate on the color, a deep red, and on the things a healthy Chakra 1 represents: a strong, healthy body that I feed nutritiously, completing tasks needed for my survival (work, paying bills, cleaning house - all things that honor Chakra 1), etc. Then I visually pull the energy up to Chakra 2 and continue that way up to Chakra 7. I can do this very quickly in just a few short minutes, or I can take around 30 minutes depending on how much time I have or how much I feel I need. When I get to Chakra 7, I send the column of energy all the way up into the cosmos, to the center of the universe. I call on infinite wisdom to send the information I need to continue my evolution and I picture the wisdom as flecks of light that drift towards, into and down my energy beam.
I then visually include a channel of energy that travels from the cosmos down through my chakras. Hitting Chakra 1 brings me back into my body which wakes me up...and now I'm ready for the day!
I'd love to hear variations on this. Any suggestions?
