I heard it first in Sanskrit than in English (the wording, however, is not precise). <br/> <br/>"Be like Shiva and Parvati <br/>Do your duty with proper zeal <br/>May the world be benefited by your service <br/>and... <br/>May you be like an effulgence .... a white effulgence <br/>for the entire universe." <br/> <br/>Honestly, this is the blessing I wish to give to all who have a beautiful "sacred relationship." <br/> <br/>I mention this blessing because a "sacred relationship serves the universe" and uplifts it. It's not just about "me and my beloved," although that is a good too and reason to rejoice. I challenge you to try this. Eat with your fingers, its a surprising sensual feeling and you become more aware of the pleasure food offers. Take note of your thoughts or non thoughts. Feel the texture of the food in your mouth as you begin to chew, ask yourself how many explosions of flavour can you taste and how it sounds. Note how you body feels as you begin to slowly swallow, and how your body greets such nourishment. Take a close look at your food, notice the texture, colour, pattern. Take notice of how you chew, is the movement fast or is it slow. Bring the awareness back to the mouth, allow it to illuminate you with pleasure and a sensual experience.
