arunachala, india

any visitors?

im on my way there (next month), we first met through google images 3 years ago, since then arunachala mountine has planted itself firmly in my heart and conciousness.

by hindu belief it is the incarnation of lord shiva.

    Hi Tamarindi ,yes I went there in 1992 , doubt if you would see much change there , brilliant place so steeped in sacred tradition , temples every where some saints and sadhus still in the area and at its base the great Ramana Maharshi ashram , I did want to staty in a grungy hotel in the town ,Tirvannamalai and eat local food from the many stalls there , wander the caves temples and sacred spaces , worht a long stay
