hello out there in PARADISE! i'm finally moving to NELSON and am in need of a room/apt to RENT for DEC...

i ahppen to agree whole heartedly that NELSON is the greatest place...ever! and after waiting for 3 years my transfer to be a postman in your amazing town has come through! for me, this is better than winning any lottery could ever be! seriously! i've tucked myself into Commercial Dr. in Vancouver for the last 5 years, and am extatic to be leaving before the Olympics gentrify and pave this city even more!

I'm loading up my camper van with winter fun gear and making a break for it! i arrive Sat Dec. 8th, start work on the 10th, and hence am in dire need of a good home...great friends...and a coffe from Oso Negro! if anyone has a line on a place for a crazy yet responsible 30 yr. old adventure and fresh powder freak, i would be said freaky postman.

Seems all spaces on Earth are sacred, if one walkes with respect and childlike joy for all life.
The one experience i would like to share, mainly because i do not understand why it happened as yet, someone may have some ideas to share.
Do not remember childhood till about 9 onwards.
But my mother often told the story of when i was 4, the song "Take me back to the Black Hills" was out (hehe showing my age now)
She said i would turn up the radio, everyone had to be quiet and i would sit and listen with tears running down my face.
Then one morning i disappeared, was a small town in New Zealand, so wasnt long before they found me on the road out of town.
When picked up and put in the car, she said i sobed and screamed that i wanted to go to Black Hills! She always ended the story with, "you have been strange ever since!"
this story was forgotten as i lived my own life, but in 96 someone said all the things i was doing craft wise and the connection with animals ect were all to do with Native Americans.
Only in the last year have i had access to comp, and yep searched the Lakota sites, but within minutes of reading the history am in tears, and feel a deep loss or ......touching something i remember that was far gentler than the life i know now! cant explain it, but to me a trip to the Black Hills is a sacred space on Earth for some part of me. One day hopefully i will sit there and touch that which touched me as a child. A couple of years ago i had a meditation and in it experienced again, my death in the Black Hills but some part of me thinks it is just mind, another part recieved so much info that relates past to this life, like i was experiencing the multilevels of spirit/human in one. Overwhelming.

The entire rocky mtn system is sacred and magikal. Missoula is exactly where I am supposed to be to anchor energy. However, I am new to the area and would love for some help in finding the most sacred mountain in the proximity of down town for me to make ceremony and pray.

The San Luis Valley

There is something about the Valley that is indescribable. It was there I first discovered the path I'm on. Many of us who've experienced living there have noticed that when we've learned the lessons the Valley has to teach us - She pretty much "boots" us out of the nest. And when we need to return to recharge for a while She draws us back.

Land's End

There's a spot overlooking the joining of ocean and bay in San Francisco
The hills curve down and open out, trees here are swept into a permanent gestural-shape pointing out towards Japan across many thousand miles
The pine needles are scattered, mingling with the grasses thinning out where sand starts to pick up ... all meeting and parting at once
The hill ends in some rocky outcroppings, and you can nestle in, somewhat protected from the wind, with a glorious view, a king, a queen, be you rich or poor

Perched above the waves crashing at the end of a long distance ride, you see the sun filling the vastness, with little obstruction
The wind is loud and wild here and if you call out your name it will be lost in the tangle, maybe appear again as a mysterious echo in a valley somewhere in the Pacific

If you call to Ma here, she is open to you, her heart opens to the wildness more easily it seems, free from pretense
You feel bare and alone, surrounded by free space, sheltered yet very exposed

You feel like the sprouting up of a single reed, from a last bit of nurturing soil, catching a tenuous glimpse of sun through the branches, as a passing windsurfer catches a fleeting breeze
You hold on and sink into that glint of light and stretch a bit from within, looking for an open place, a beginning

From inside there you breathe out and extend a million miles out to sea, and call a porpoise, a sundial, a magic clam, a passing mermaid
You say hello to all life
You have never left, and can remember
You feel almost cold, occassionally almost hot
You feel alive and have lived this way forever, not remembering time

There is a time that stretches there, between somewhere after noon and somewhere before dark, when you have a chance to live again
A child again, well and whole, just like then, like all thens and all tomorrows

You dance again and draw a dream in the sands, conjuring up a thousand magic castles from out of bright air
You know no boundary now and so rest as a million glassy droplet grains of sand and this was enough

Each glint and reflection of sun in waves and branches and seashells is you and me, each from a new angle, all without going anywhere, all moving, breathing and still
You lose all you carried and come home free

Kartchner Caverns - womb of Gaia

Karchner Caverns is an amazing goddess spot. The energy there is very much like a living womb of mother earth. Actually, there is even a colony of bats that has been returning every year for thousands of generation to give birth and raise their young. The cave is alive, it is moist and humid and actively growing. I've been there to tour the cave 4 times now and it is one of the most beautiful and inspiring places I've ever been to. The people that discovered the cave had an immediate reverance for it...they knew that it was special and had to be protected. They went to amazing lengths to ensure the cave's protection and to make it accessible to the public. I truly believe that it is a sacred goddess spot.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit it...do...it is well worth it.

I wanted to share more about this tribe idea

In tantric and indigenous traditions, the physical earth, the lay of the land, is understood as the actual body of the deity, and this also corresponds to one's own physical body

Sometimes there are analogies to star systems as well

So, particular vibrations or pure essences might be experienced more intensely in some geographic spots than others

There might be a bend in a river you like to visit where there's a particular special quality and it's easy to soak in that

I've felt that each of us as we connect with our own essence, attune also to places on the earth

It's as if those places are your home as spirit

Often it might be a mountain, a valley, some place where the shape of the earth changes, perhaps dramatically ... it could be any place really, it could be in a city

I started the tribe to see if we can share these places, and then maybe we'll get a chance to visit other people's spots some day

Also, sometimes I feel like I know a place, can visualize it and what it's like, but don't know exactly where it is, just the region
So, maybe we can help each other locate these spots

So, please write about real places you went to and also ones you sense but aren't even sure if they exist exactly, but feel like they do!
