Re: War Breaks Out Within the Marijuana Legalization Movement
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 7:10 AMThe Oaksterdam University should be exposed for what it is ..... a comercial business that is profiting big time from the efforts of many sick people that fought the Federal Goverment and that has not been busted by the DA's there bc of the big money they pay the city of Oakland ..... now they want to comercialize Cannabis and are selling these fake titles of medical cannabis growers and budtenders after a weekend training ....
Boycott Oaksterdam University ! -

Re: War Breaks Out Within the Marijuana Legalization Movement
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 8:00 AMyea, definately don't like the way things are going - as I've said before the only real answer is grow your own
our society is rotten to the core and it will putrify anything it touches and it is touching cannabis now
I don't even need to know the details because l know how life works and how things will go. In a very real way the exact details don't matter. Until we change the matrix, everything we touch will turn to shit and you can take that to the bank (irony intended) -

Re: War Breaks Out Within the Marijuana Legalization Movement
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 8:58 AM> rotten to the core
another example (many like this are poping by the day)
Medical Marijuana, Inc. Launches Seminar and Training Program
www.medicalmarijuanainc.com/
Pleople need to know this, and the big differences between the proposed law changes .... Oaksterdam is investing $1.5 million (cash they received from medical cannabis patients for their medicine) ... their dispensary pays $30K (and 3 others, the only ones allowed) a year to the city of Oakland for permits
Ths situation with many medical cannabis dispensaries is tricky, in my view .... many now are using the efforts of sick people that have fought in Court the Feds to profit big time .,. and Medical Cannabis is now being pushed by Corporate Tycons as an industry that makes fast $'s and can pay high taxes .... Cannabis should be LEGAL for all adults, not just for a few to grow and sell at high costs in dispensaries
some MD's are making a killing charging $150 (or more) a year per person just so people can use Cannabis
for many, is all about money .... the medicne part is just the excuse to get in -

Re: War Breaks Out Within the Marijuana Legalization Movement
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 10:36 AMsame thing here in NM - i heard that over 200 commercial applications are hitting the state health dept. And they may have two workers there, not sure, could be only one. People smelling money throwing applications at the state. The program here sucks badly but I'm trying to work it anyway since it also offers opportunity via the non profit system the state has set up. I bought from the first and only Provider to be approved so far and it was $400 an ounce and it was okay but they definately didn't cure it long enough which is expected with so much money on the line but damn for $400 an ounce it should be cured perfectly.
Mine will be and I pretty sure I can come in around $200 an ounce and still make out just fine but then I don't need to make 150 thousand a year, either. All I know is that I will take care of my patients one way or another and I won't worry too much about what others are doing - that's how I play it, man. When I get to where my shit is so together that I can start telling other people what to do, I'll give that a shot maybe. -

Re: War Breaks Out Within the Marijuana Legalization Movement
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 8:32 PMYou can get primo from dispensaries here for like $310. $400 is street price. I know someone that sells ounces to dispensaries for $265.
I think the fee some doctors charge is rediculous. Most regular primary care physicians wont prescribe it. Some do. It seems like some of the ones that do, prescribe marijuana is their main thing they do. I know of one that is not taking new patients right now because he's involved in a lawsuit. That's all I know. No idea what it's about. A friend called his office and said that's what they told him. And to try back in a week. He wants to get his wife a card. She never used pot in her life. She's 62. It's the only thing that helps her pain and to get sleep now. It works for her. I only heard about this same doctor from a friend. I've heard a lot of people asking about info on doctors that will do it for a fee. Usually anywhere between $125 and $250. Then I have a few friends that say their doctor just wrote them a script. Yay for Berkeley and Arcata. lol -

Re: War Breaks Out Within the Marijuana Legalization Movement
Thu, October 22, 2009 - 8:44 AMfrankly, if I were a doctor, I wouldn't touch MM with a ten foot pole - I don't blame them a bit. In fact, I think it's kind of stupid of them to get involved the way the system is set up. If I were a doctor, the medicine would have to subject to objective scientific testing to assure quality control which does not exist so far as I know.
At SMMR we will be voluntarily submitted tests to labs for the first four grows and eating the cost - tax deductible since we are a non profit. Depending upon the results I will tighten up if necessary. I will also be making a public commitment to post the results on our website for vetted MM cardholders to see. Complete transparancy. If I can't grow clean weed, then I'll be shutting the doors - fuck the money, man -

Re: War Breaks Out Within the Marijuana Legalization Movement
Thu, October 22, 2009 - 9:27 PMI'm not sure if dispensaries in CA are required to quality control test. I have read that some places like Stephen Deangelos "Harborside" dispensary do test. I think that's great. It assures youre providing quality product to your customers. I think there should be someway to make that clear to all customers. That they arent just buying a bag of weed like we used to in highschool from anywhere we could get it. It could have been moldy or laced with pcp or whatever. I think customers will feel more comfortable and satisfied knowing what theyre getting is held to certain standards. Standards which they may not be able to be guaranteed or assured of from other sources.
