come to think of it, everywhere i've looked for land in the state has been hippy centered radical areas that's why i'm looking there so that probably has something to do with it. I've realized that wherever I land I'm going to have to beat away neighbors who want weed and it's going to be uncomfortable so i'm already thinking about how to handle that most diplomatically.
I like to essentially bend over backwards to make my neighbors happy it's like instinct but this will have to be different. Locked gate will stop all traffic to this place at end of the cul de sac with only national forest behind. Already told my closest neighbor that if I get the place it will have tons of electronic security and they won't be able to just walk up the hill anymore without tripping alarms
have to consider giving them the gate code? Our dobie is great about not attacking people we know but i pity the fool we don't know who wanders into our compound because she scares the shit out of me when she sees a stranger. She'll sit quietly by the door even if she's never seen the person before so long as I know them. she's very smart and keys off of my totally - if I don't know them she goes off man and she has an enormous mouth and like inch long fangs - wouldn't want to be on the other end of that!
mentioned to neighbors that we will have guns just to see their reaction since they are such hippies but they seemed okay with that. Really, I worry about the neighbors who could be involved in violence directed against us by criminals after our weed. They haven't even thought about that but I definately have. Must think of a way to protect them without freaking them out? But I owe it to them and now I'm thinking a lot of my future employees or partners - i am rather fearless in my faith but I understand that my wife, neighbors and others may not be so I have to protect them in this endeavor.
