50 people?

I thought I heard someone tell me that as long as the gathering was less than 50 people we wouldn't be legally required to have all the permits for fire? Any truth to that?

yes that is true, but it's still a good idea to have an open flame permit and insurance to cover any problems with the fire marshal.you never know when that 51st person might show up.it could be the fire marshal.also you need to have plenty of safety and crowd control.you never know when some one (drunk or not) might wonder into your your spinning area.
