Salonistas,
The Man burns in approximately 0.337 years.
Despite having suggested meeting this coming weekend, I would like to propose delaying our next gathering for two weeks to accommodate various scheduling issues and to ensure that we are able to include visiting out-of-town Salonistas Jasper and Lotus Muffin. We will host a brunch confab here at the Hayes Street Utopia (1658 Hayes Street, San Francisco) on Sunday, May 21st at approximately noon. This brunch will directly follow Mango's raging all-night party (on Saturday) and the early Sunday morning Bay-to-Breakers run. Although there's no need to participate in either of these other activities prior to our gathering, it would help to place some of us on roughly the same wavelength.
In an attempt to streamline the distribution of messages on this list, our technical team (CDL and Jagabat) are hard at work to revitalize the website and setup an automated list on the server. Until then, we'll have to work the old fashioned way and just identify everyone in the header. Please use the list attached to this message for future replies. Also feel free to respond privately to folks rather than serving the whole group.
I have created a forum for us on Tribe.net -- tribes.tribe.net/salonsoleil -- please join it if you already have a Tribe profile (or first sign up for Tribe and then join our group). I'll send invites to folks I already know to be on that service. Regardless, go there now to check out a sample of photos from previous incarnations of Salon Soleil.
Finally, the Burning Man organization is jousting with the Bureau of Land Management over permit conditions for this year's event. Get the skinny at www.burningman.com/news/blm_news_06.html -- and please send a letter if you have time.
In service to the Goddess,
Maestro
