Now in its eighth year, Samba Já is Eugene's own bateria - a thirty-member mobile percussion ensemble. They specialize in playing wild, funky, and incredibly danceable street music from all over Brazil and the Americas. Diverse, playful, and innovative, Samba Já will bring its irrepressible, ecstatic rhythms to your parade, party, festival, grand opening, or other large event.

Combining the talents and enthusiasm of people from all over the world and all walks of life, Samba Já has performed at venues such as the Eugene Celebration (2002 and 2007 "Best in Show" winners), Northwest Folklife, Oregon Country Fair, 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, Oregon State University football, Eugene Saturday Market, and enthusiastically received elementary school concerts.
