Would love to join in... I just got my first hoop from hoopnotica last week and can't wait to learn! I live near Balboa park/ downtown/Bankers Hill...but easy to travel... the beach sounds fantastic!!

Tue, August 14, 2007 - 3:24 PMsometimes we also jam at Balboa Park, usually near the corner of 6th and some street north of Laurel -- OK, so I don't know the street names very well and I have a shitty sense of direction, but I can find it when I need to!

Thu, January 10, 2008 - 7:30 PMhi there. i have no idea if these are "good" hoop classes but i've seen them advertised on craigslist...it's a place in the north park or hillcrest area or somewhere close to that...they have a website called hoopnotica.com...i have wanted to check it out but i am a little chicken cuz i've never really hooped but would love to learn....BUT i figured that i am only holding myself back so i'd get over my hesitation and check it out...

Thu, January 10, 2008 - 11:15 PMMy mom just took that class! She loved it, but she mentioned that the space was really tiny and the ceilings were very low so be careful in class not to whack your neighbors!

Also- is the Sunday Balboa Park group still meeting?

I just moved to San Diego from Charleston, SC. I was just getting started with hooping before I leaft, and would love to find a new group of people to hoop with! I'm living in Santee right now, but I can pretty much meet up anywhere.
