Looks like its in Yountville (under "Reservations"). Do they have Palm Trees in Yountville, though?

I went late last year. The food is very well executed. Obviously not up to French Laundry levels, but that's not what they're aiming for anyway. I liked it a lot better than Bouchon down the street.

I was a little worried about the fixed menu concept, but we came on a night with a great menu. The main course was a sous vide American Kobe beef dish that was just spectacular. The cheese course was wonderful and the cobbler for dessert was excellent. They don't have an incredibly broad wine list, but it's good enough. The soup for the first course was a bit too salty, but still very enjoyable.

I would definitely go again. Highly recommended.

I have been, early this year, had an excellent meal.

It's a Thomas Keller restaurant and while it is not FL, it's also $48/per person rather than $240 per person.

The menu changes nightly, is served family style and there is one option from what I know.

Was quite impressed and would go back in a heartbeat.

Ad Hoc is, in my opinion, the best restaurant both in terms of concept and execution out there today! They use the same ingredients and FL, and the portions are really generous. It is really excellent value for the money. Also, unlike FL, they are totally flexible and willing to accomidate diners individual needs, despite the one menu concept. One time when I was there, there was a course I wasn't eating, because it had an ingredient I was allergic too. I didn't say anything to the staff, because I figured it was a risk I would take dining there. However, my waiter noticed and asked me about it. When I told him that I couldn't eat that course, he insisted on having the chef make something different for me. I can't recommend it enough.

BTW - It is in Yountville, just down the street from FL.

I was here last Fall and loved it. Laid back but very friendly and attentive staff, cozy setting, excellent food in literally limitless amounts, and great wine. Highly recommended.
