So I know I might be able to get a restaurant with a view of either the ocean or a beautiful panoramic of the city AND good food. BUT... amuse me and tell me what ya got and know? It could be on the peninsula too.
Are there good or decent restaurants with a view?
Thanks y'all.

Re: restaurants with a view...
Tue, January 18, 2005 - 2:18 PMThe new restaurant at the old Cliff House just opened. It may be, ladies and gentlemen, that there is finally a place to get a decent drink on the coast in SF.
That said, I frequently drive down to the Moss Beach distillery for drinks. It's gotten rotten expensive and even more yup a year or two ago ($19 for fish and chips? Are you fucking insane?) but beer is good and you can still sit in a wooden chair with a wool blanket and watch the pelicans. -

Re: restaurants with a view...
Wed, January 19, 2005 - 1:47 PMSpeaking of the new Cliff House, did you read the scathing review in the Chron? Far be it for me to spread dirt, but, well, Michael Bauer is a hoot to read.

Forbes Island
Thu, January 20, 2005 - 10:15 AMAte at Forbes Island last night...the DAT menu almost makes the food worth it(pretty basic and limited but solid)...throw in the atmosphere...boat ride, island, under water dining, lighthouse...its pretty cool...at least once...and if you eat upstairs in the little room with fireplace you wont find a better view in the city...
