So, while 4 of you were riding the rail at Much Ado, I was across the way watching Endgame. I had never seen a production of this play (nor read it) so I don't have anything to compare it to. But I think Paul Whitworth, SSC Artistic Director, did an outstanding job as Hamm. There were only 4 actors total in this play (seems typical of absurdist type plays) and they all did a terrific job.
I'm not the best reviewer but I am glad that I got to see one production this season. Since starting work at UCSC last year I've heard nothing but the best reviews of all SSC plays. I saw one performance last year and was also very impressed. I really like the main stage theater. It's small and very intimate. I still haven't seen a production in the glen. Guess I need to wait for next year!
