Hey guys! One of you all must be pretty darn good at hoopn. So good that you could even facilitate a little fun workshop for the rest of us to come look silly at. I would if I had mastered any real tricks yet. This might be a fun way to get this group going. Any volunteers?? Much Love!

Re: calling for a hoop workshop
Sat, January 14, 2006 - 12:49 PMI would be happy to come up to SC and do a playshop...how fun! Perhaps Blaze might help us in organizing that, like in mid-late February. are there other interested recruits?

Re: calling for a hoop workshop
Wed, January 18, 2006 - 2:54 PMThe current update is that Marilee is working on putting on a beginning workshop herself and looking to book Christabel for an advanced workshop in the spring.
In the meantime we are looking at creating a weekly hoop jam evening drop-in series for wintertime at a local dance studio - it all depends on studio availability times. I'm looking for a half partner to guarantee funds to book a studio time and hopefully recoup those funds from attendance.
Marilee also teaches small beginning classes on a regular basis in neighboring Soquel. If interested, try to tribe mail her directly - if she doesn't respond (because she's not really a computer gal), contact me and I'll put you in touch with her by phone. Once we have dates for any events, I'll post them here.
What this tribe needs is a local base to support local events. If anyone knows hoopers local to us, especially tribe people, let them know about this tribe, so they can sign up to receive our postings. My feeling is if we can flush out the locals and generate some interest, it will be enable us to use the tribe network to make fun stuff happen here in Santa Cruz. -

Re: calling for a hoop workshop
Sun, March 12, 2006 - 10:57 AMIt looks like the weather here in SC is too cold for us fair weather hoopers today as of 11:00 March 12 so our noon meeting will be rescheduled until another time. We'll be trying again soon I'm sure.
