Saturn takes about 28-29 years to return to any given point. Therefore, every 7 years or so, Saturn will transit conjunct, square, or opposite a natal point. These periods in our lives can truly feel like lessons. Saturn transits can make life feel like a drudgery, and there is usually a general feeling of dissatisfaction. Depression can be a byproduct of heavy Saturn transits. There can be losses, but that is due to us not being prepared and taking responsibility for ourselves. Saturn reminds us of reality and the need for greater self-discipline.
