Describe or talk about your specific thoughts and/or ideas of what the authenticity of this dance really is as it appears in old Arabic movies and contemporary Egyptian dance videos of current Egyptian Dance Divas, and how these thoughts or ideas relate or have meaning to you as one who was not brought up by them but rather was introduced to them via the Belly Dance arena as an adult.

Please note that the Sausan Academy Public Yahoo! group that focuses on this topic will close its doors on December 2006. This Tribe.net group will be an extension of that group. The main objective of the Sausan Academy™ of Egyptian Dance is to bring back the feel and look of Egyptian dance as performed by all Egyptian dancers up to and including Fifi Abdo, as the feel and execution of this dance shifted to a more Western style after Fifi Abdo. These differences are studied extensively at the Sausan Academy™.

"Egyptian Dance Code" or "EDC" is a term coined by Sausan in September of 2003 and is recorded in the Sausan Academy Public Yahoo Group; it is a term that delineates the true Egyptian style dance from all other styles of belly dance. It has also been used in numerous chat and trade groups throughout the Internet.
