Updated 5/20/09: We now face a new battle to Save the Cow Palace! Since so many idiots voted no on the propositions on the 5/19/09 ballot, Arnold is going to try to sell the Cow Palace! We can't let this happen! We must convince Arnold that the Cow Palace must NOT be sold!

Update: SB1527 has been defeated.
Senator Yee's Legislation SB1527 is wrong. It proposes we, as California State Citizens, sell OUR Cow Palace to Daly City so they can destroy it and profit by selling it to private developers. And if that isn’t bad enough, SB1527 also permanently deprives all Californians of a much-needed public venue for our community events, concerts, fund-raisers, festivals and shows!
When you start selling off public parkland & recreational facilities, where do you stop? Selling the Cow Palace is like selling off a chunk of Golden Gate Park just because a nearby neighborhood proclaims “unanimously” it needs more space for development.
This is wrong! The Cow Palace is not “surplus”; it is a valuable public venue.
We must stop this proposed sell-off of OUR State asset.
