A call has gone out to performers. This year the Known World Players will be performing 5 plays from the Wakefield/Towneley Mystery Cycle
at Pennsic. This will happen on August 8, starting at 10am and lasting until 3:00pm. They need performers to travel ahead of each play to
entertain the audience between plays. Each performance should last no more than 10 to 15 minutes. I am told that this is busking opportunity. The first performer would start at 9:45am at the first stage, and the 2nd would start about 45 minutes after. They would travel to each of the 4 stages to perform during the lull between performances. The performers would be encouraged to busk and of course keep their earnings. There are but 4 spots left! If you find yourself up to the task contact Sofia (Zsof) at karoline@karolinekramer.com

Call has gone out to performers update
Tue, July 3, 2007 - 9:54 PMA call has gone out to performers. This year the Known World Players
will be performing 5 plays from the Wakefield/Towneley Mystery Cycle
at Pennsic. This will happen on August 8, starting at 10am and lasting
until 3:00pm. They need performers to travel ahead of each play to
entertain the audience between plays. Each performance should last no
more than 10 to 15 minutes. I am told that this is busking opportunity. The first performer would start at 9:45am at the first stage, and the 2nd would start about 45 minutes after. They would travel to each of the 4 stages to perform during the lull between performances. The players for each act will move from stage to stage to and present them in order; so the buskers should move with the troupe, and be the warm-up act. Granted this is not your normal Busking opportunity but this is Pennsic and it’s a chance to help the Known World Players.
Buskers will likely be competing with hawkers of food, ice, etc but that’s normal. You are free to pass the hat as in a normal street show. How many times are you invited to do that as a warm-up act?
The plays will be performed between 10 and 3 PM on Wednesday August 8
(Wednesday of War Week). There are but 4 spots left! If you find yourself
up to the task contact Kuji At kuji@coxcomb.org
