I just now looked at the official SCA fencing rules and could not find size specifications for bucklers. Am I missing something?

Re: Buckler Question
02/01I had thought it was an 18" diameter maximum.
Now that I think on it though, that would be a Northshield rule.

Re: Buckler Question
02/01There is no limit, as far as I know. At Pennsic some of our guys fence the big battles with war heaters from their rattan kits, and more recently with purpose-made lightweight fencing scuda that measure almost 2' X 4' . I'm not a fan, personally (I'm more effective with a case of long rapiers) but a big shield is a good way to keep an inexperienced melee fighter alive and effective until he develops his melee head.

Re: Buckler Question
02/01Unless a Kingdom has a rule, I don't believe that there is a limit.
Someone marketing similar to this link would be good.
