Siege of Talonval is creeping ever closer. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again. It's our hope that this hafla will be just as good as the last one. Though the fact the Howell Balloonfest falls on the same weekend. Hoping we won't lose anyone to that. I just purchased another 10 X 20 tent. It's to be used for a common area. Yay!!!

Fri, May 9, 2008 - 11:56 PMIs there a specific area one should look for if one were coming for the Hafla to camp? I'm trying to convince a Ducal friend to come along (means I don't have to drive!) so we'll lose him during the day, but he does dance, so we'll see him in the evening.
And is there a food plan? Or is there a tavern at the event where one can buy meals rather than doing the ole cooler shlep? -

Mon, May 12, 2008 - 8:40 AMCan't miss us when you roll in to Troll. Just turn your head to the left and you see the big pond...Just to the left of said pond is where the hafla will be. :) And when you troll in just tell them you are camping with the hafla group.
From what I have seen so far on their web site they are planning a feast. But all us hafla folks will be sitting down to eat together at the ginormous dining table my lord has been working so hard on. :) The meal plan for now is bring something to grill or a dish to share. Last year we all chowed on dinner then the remains were left for folks visiting the hafla. :) I think last year was the year we did the wine marinated beef kabobs. We will have a bbq. I'll keep everyone updated on what's going on with the food, so stay tuned.
Your Ducal friend is more then welcome. All I need now is your tent sizes. I can't wait for Siege. And they lowered camping fees from $15 to $12. Wooo Hooo!!!
