              Sounds like a good idea.

NOW!!, wait a minute, are those saucers of the "flying type?". In that case we can stay on topic. Excellent thinking.

              :P

Well, my german isn't the best either, lets stick to something in the middle, english. My english isn't that great either to tell you the truth. I often use Google as a spellchecker and when i don't find the right words, Google is a must. I guess it works better here in this tribe then to type everything in plain swedish. :D

Och nu skall vi plötsligt skriva rubbet på svenska så att ingen annan än svenskar förstår vad som skrivs.

Hmmm, no good. I'll better use my (not that great) english.

                      Speaking of german..........

How come it is so much easier to understand when germans talk then to read german? Sometimes i understand whole sentences when germans speak. To read it is much harder.

                      Did you know that..........

Swedish and german have many similar words.

                      Exemple?

                      Swe - Ger - Eng

                      Berg - Berg - Mountain
                      Svart - Schwartz - Black

Swedish contains many words from german and english, sometimes we use the german word, sometimes the english.

                      Well, time to leave tribe.

But before i leave...how about starting a "Saucer Studying Club" with the name "UFO Coffee" where we drink terrible lots of coffee and throw saucers. If we stick to saucers in plastic we can throw lots of saucers and don't get bankrupt. On the other side...we are gonna have terrible expensive coffee bills.........

Nah, forget about it, too big and expensive project for us simple "tribers".

lets found that club. I am in - for sure.... only hellish coffee?????? maybe a Finlandia or Absolut would do better? *joking*

if you would like to go ahead with studying and translating German . www.leo.de

sometimes I can follow Swedish at least a little, so I can get my fav cloudberry jam...

inform me about the flying saucers club...

                        have a nice day

                        :-)

Absolut sounds fine to me, Absolut is the best swedish vodka you can buy. Finlandia is great too, don't mention Koskenkorva

                          And.......

Thanks for the link, or should i say? Dank für die Verbindung (perhaps you use the word "link" in german? (länk in swedish). German is interesting because of the similaritys to my own language, besides that we have plenty of german tourists where i live every year.

                            HI

                            @Christer:

we use the word "link" in German as well... so you meet so many German tourists in Sweden???!!!

I would go for the old "Salmiakki Koskenkorva" - not the one they are selling now :-(
if you have a secret hiding place, let me know, please! that would certainly do better than a coffee....
I only have an empty bottle of it standing in my kitchen!

                            @Hannele:

kiitos! you understood, which would mean, I didnt put in a mistake... :-)

                            good night

I live next to Gotha Canal and germans seems to like it very much, they come here every year in their boats. In the summer all stores in my city is full of tourists from Germany, sometimes half of all people in the store is from Germany. Last year i saw quite many tourists from France too. Perhaps Gotha Canal is becoming popular in France as well. Most tourists comes from Germany, but we also see many people from France, Norway, Denmark as well. I have even seen tourists from Australia and Holland, but not very often.

So, you like vodka? Well, me too. But i also like whiskey.

Okey, let's replace the coffee with some Absolut and Salmiakki Koskenkorva. ;)

We say lakrits or salmiak in Sweden. Finns making the best salmiak in the world. Panda's salmiak (lakrits) candy is superior to anything else.

OMG... flocks of German tourists!!! how do you survive this... I think there is nothing worse than masses of German tourists together....

oh no....for me whiskey doesnt work at all - HEADACHE ^_^

but the rest is just perfect, especially if it comes to see our flying saucers.

we also say "Lakritz" or "Salmiak"... you mean the Panda's Salmiak with the blue label?

                                :-)

                                  Ha ha ha :D

                                  YOU don't like german tourists?

Well, imagine how i suffer when i enter a store in the summer. (irony warning) ;)

Nah, germans seems to be okey, we have no trouble at all with the german tourists, just some language problems sometimes when some of them doesn't speak english.

                                  About Panda..........

Yup, that Lakritz is awesome, genuine finnish salmiak, very tasty.

                                  Finally.......

Okey, let's skip the whiskey and go for Absolut or Finlandia instead.

Watch out for flying saucers, here i come............. :)
                                  • yeah, we should start this flying saucers discussions...

how often do they appear in Sweden?! every night, every month....every year, let me know....

I have to admit most "flocks" of German tourists are this much terrible...of some you can only be ashamed and I sometimes pretend not be German .-)

you have to very very strong to survive the German invasion every summer... RESPECT!
                                    • You're right, those germans......... i hate them.

This summer i'm going on "german hunt"...with a baseball bat. :P

Nah, they are nice people, all of them, so far. Gotha Canal must be very popular among german tourists. Hmmm, change that to Sweden, most germans seems to like Sweden very much, many of them buy houses here.

                                      www.schwedenprivat.com/index.php

The risk with "flying saucer discussions" is that they can be a bit too "high flying", then all discussions will get out of hands. Imagine 20 threads in this tribe about flying saucers, and no one remember anything about any thread. That's a bit too "alien" for my taste.

                                      *mystic noises*

Christer - Oooooh, here's the aliens.

kleine schwarze Elfe - Do they drink coffee?

                                      Christer - I don't think so.........

*tribe is having a blackout, sever problems*

kleine schwarze Elfe - what the heck is happening?

                                      *silence*

Christer - We are being invaded by aliens, Help, HEEEEEELP. *Off line*

hrrm, got carried away a bit there.........

Speaking of saucers...several people in my city saw something strange in the sky last year, you could read about it in the local newspaper the next day. Perhaps there IS flying saucers after all...........
